All PS4 Pro enhanced games (native support and boosted)

Don't think so, the one you posted as "resolution" mode is higher than the other. The compression--and the image quality of the game in general--make it rough to count, though. I believe it's somewhere in the range of 1350p to 1440p.

I can't currently take the time to look for other differences. I'll give it a shot later.
That's pretty damn low for a game that claims to run at 4K on Xbox One X.

regarding FFXV, you can choose the settings of the game? if at 1800 runs worse, would be better to at least play at 60 fps I guess

Has the 4k option improved? Or does still have a bad framerate?

The framerate is relatively fine, the problem is the frame pacing which is still bad and makes the game really stuttery.

Some people said that they got used to it, i never did and after a few hours i switched to the high framerate mode.

I see on the psvr thread that The Solus Project has higher resolution on the psvr with the Pro.
Thanks! I added a couple VR games today, but didn't have a chance to get to this one. I'll add it soon.

Well, remember that Microsoft's official terms "True 4K" and "4K Ultra HD" both include dynamic resolution methods. It's a fair bet that Shadow of War will use that...though I also believe it'll be much closer to 2160p more of the time, given One X's power advantage over the Pro.

Thanks to laudably quick action by Y2Kev, I've avoided the space constraints for now by splitting out VR into its own list. This means there are three posts to check when looking for games now, and each one is increasingly unwieldy for eyeball search. Therefore I've added a banner linked to the search how-to right at the top of the OP. I also rewrote and rearranged other OP content--like the post counts that have been changed due to the reformat--and added a few VR games to the list.

Any suggestions, comments, or screenshots and video are welcome as ever. Thanks!

Funny enough US PlayStation has the pro enchanted label

You're right. Really bizarre.

We already know the game's supposed to be Xbox X enhanced to 4K and whatnot, but it would be nice if Tango or Bathesda had given some information on the Pro enhancements too.

I guess we're gonna have to wait till more people have copies or if DF or NXGamer do a video first.

Yep contradictions everywhere, makes it hard to determine who is right. I guess different regions of PlayStation don’t operate on a universal thinking pattern.

On the official PS4 website's page, there's no Pro enhanced icons on it unlike other games....

Even within a single region, you should not draw conclusions from this tagging. There are multiple games which have Pro support but no logo, and even a couple which have (or had) the logo but no support. Accuracy is very low.

It's really not a game that I'm interested in but the Evil Within 2 is also on the list for Scorpio improvements so maybe it's something that will turn up at a later date. It doesn't really make any sense for that to happen but I suppose you never really know.

Sony and MS need to start putting their foot down. There is no excuse for games from big studios to be launching with no Pro or X support.

What are the support notes for The Division?
I know that UI got the 4K boost but what else?

I found it so pretty and crisp when I came back to it recently

It's present in the lists, under Tom Clancy's The Division. It has enhanced lighting and shadow resolution on Pro, as well as improved framerate. The overall resolution is about 2950x1660, then using some form of temporal reconstruction to generate a 4K framebuffer. It can fall apart and cause lots of artifacts in some hectic situations, but it looks quite nice a lot of the time.

There was a few updates which ended up with a native 4K resolution as well as other improvements. It looks absolutely stunning now.
It's not native 4K. It uses temporal accumulation of some sort to achieve the higher resolution.

Ahaa it does make the game look stunning indeed! Gave me a whole new experience :) thanks guys

Ah, OK. I'd always understood that it was native. If I'm being honest I've probably only played it for about an hour after the update where I just walked around and admired the view and it looked wonderful to me.

I imagine that you're right though, although it looked amazing I would have always suggested that a native 4K would have been too much to ask for with that game on the Pro.

I DOnt understand how this game has such bluries LOW Rez Grass..... its like the worst grass Ive seen in a long time on curent Gen games....Just wierd, makes no sence.

That small change alone would make this look better !

There's a lot of it though! I'm sure it would effect performance. Looks fine when you're playing though, and trees etc. look great. Doesn't compare to the trees/grass on HZD though.

I'm downloading right now (2.5GB update), i'll be able to post screenshots after.

EDIT. Finished downloading.

On 1080p screens nothing changed, 1080p 60fps with NO option for downsampling.

On 4K screens the game now let's you choose between "High Resolution" and "High Framerate" in the menu under video settings.

My pixel count gave me a 1440p image for the high resolution mode, but the framerate seems to be 30fps.

The HDR in Everybody's Golf looks so washed out for me that I thought my new tv was broken. But No Man's Sky HDR looks great. Is this just the way it works with some games?

Usually you have to adjust the gamma settings in the options in most games to get the balance right. Some games have a calibration on startup which is very helpful gt sport and mass effect Andromeda do from memory.

New patch just released for LiS:Before the Storm with enhanced resolution support for Ps4 Pro. Not at home at the moment so haven't been able to try it out yet.

It's sad but these days it's often best not to be an early adapter of any game. There's always performance and improvement patches coming out days/weeks after release. In this case, the screen shots don't show a huge difference but if the frame rate is locked to 30 and not unlocked, I'll take it with the higher resolution.

Not picking up The Evil Within 2 for the same reason. I'll either wait till there's a Pro patch or the game hits $29.99 or less.

I can't be sure if it's actually locked at 30 or unlocked overing around 35, my eyes are not that good unfortunately, but it's definitely far from 60.

The high framerate mode, which was the only mode before this patch, is a solid 60fps.

Besides Horizon, which other games are excellent to showcase the power of the pro?
AC: Unity actually plays well on it. Its not the new hotness but the game is still gorgeous.

Don't remember if it got any specific Pro support, or if Boost mode alone was able to smooth out so many of the kinks.

Final Fantasy XV
Uncharted 4
Uncharted The Lost Legacy

FFXV looks significantly better than it does on standard PS4. The two Uncharteds don't improve that much on PS4 Pro, but they are imo beside Horizon the prettiest games on PS4/PS4 Pro.

No pro patch but boost mode did indeed smooth it out to the point where it's almost perfect. Syndicate got pro patched to 1800p checker board I believe as well, but it's nowhere near the looker unity is

Ratchet and Clank is pretty much CGI in real-time. Definitely give it a go as a showcase. The upcoming GT Sport will be a good one too.

So, two games not on either the Boost Mode or regular list (for perhaps unsurprising reasons), that I wanted to try and capture some screenshots for: Yakuza Ishin! and Tales of Zestiria (PS4 Version).

Sadly, neither allow use of the PS4's screenshot functionality, at least prior to NG+, and Remote Play screenshots don't really do the job without noticeable compression, even at the '1080p' setting:

After a little searching I found what I would guess to be direct capture or at least better quality screenshots of the PS4 versions of each game:

Both seem to run at 1080p, which makes sense, seeing as these are cross-gen games, and while Yakuza targets 60fps Zestiria targets 30fps. As far as I could tell in the bit I've played of both, neither seems to have other performance problems, though I have a hunch just from looking at it that the HUD in Zestiria is still 720p, or lower than 1080p at least. Not familiar with how to do pixel counting myself, but hopefully this is somewhat helpful.

Cap my framerate if old.

The surge makes the jump from 30 to 60fps of you choose the performance mode.

Id say both uncharted games are excellent showcases too especially if you have a hdr tv
