That's weird it should still be eligible for you if it was originally works for you. Keep checking on Amazon everyday if nothing happens.

Yeah I was just told to wait 24-48 hours as well via chat. No big deal since I'll spend the gift card and the 6£ on Mario Odyssey (physical).
Thanks for the heads-up on the 6£ discount btw.

Without doubt they care little about customer service - the only reason that I've chosen to go with them is the pricing, as the saving mounts up given that I've been able to get a number of their 'cyclonic deals', prior to the price rises. Shadow of War finally turned up today.


Oh, and Amazon got around to shipping NieR today, to my surprise - though not arriving until Tuesday.

Ignore the fact that it’s expired. Top comment shows that it still works and has up to date instructions. Whole process takes about 10-15 minutes of your time and get £20 of credit for £10. 10 hours after purchase I was told by help chat "I can confirm that it will be added to your account soon."
That was 12 hours ago. Still nothing. Wouldn't be that big of a deal, but the thing I wanted to purchase went out of stock just a few minutes ago, so that sucks...

Oh man, I'm so sorry about that. I'm so confused as to why Amazon can't handle this shit at all. You'd think this wouldn't be much of a trouble but I guess that they can just delay this to the last second then fulfill the promotion (and from what I read sometimes Amazon will just say "you were not eligible for the promotion" even though you were, which is why I say to get a proof so they can't pull this shit).
At this point, I would be up their ass about this, consistently reminding them about this or even just threaten to refund the item (I know they probably won't let you but it might motivate them to actually solve this problem).

No worries. Yeah it's a bummer, but lesson learned. A shame the help chat person gave me false hope about the timing. Glad at least you actually got help!

Item is being sent from Denmark, so it will probably take a few days to arrive.

I pre-ordered Yakuza 0 from them & it never turned up.

Just tried myself and I can't get the £6 off on the download code

EDIT just found this under the ts and cs "The Promo Code must be redeemed at our website, towards the purchase of products listed on and sold by Amazon.co.uk." the download code is sold by Amazon EU, which has me worried about purchasing now. Anyone else bought download codes for switch games from amazon?

We'll it's valid until the start of January and I'm sure I'll buy some Christmas presents from Amazon so it's too bad

If you contact their support, they'll make it work. Just did that, ended up with a final cost of 3.99 + the 30 gift card.

Worth it, cuz they said the promotion messed up for some and applied as app credit which is wrong.

You possibly weren't supposed to. When these things happen, they're usually quietly cancelled.

The offer that is. Once your order is through, it's usually safe.

Can't say for myself (won't be able to use HDR) but from looking around, it's a 8-bit + high FRC panel but HDR10 performance seems to be pretty good - keep in mind there's only 8 dimming zones so you'd be sacrificing being able to see some finer dark details.

Someone posted their impressions of the monitor with the PS4 Pro.

Just tried and they won't. The moran I spoke to says promotional credit can't be applied to downloadable items and then gave me the ts and cs that stated nothing of the sort. Not worth the hassle of another 30 minute amazon chat

Shit I am interested myself in this and I have a Nvidia card... How do we expect a gtx 1080 to perform on this? The size plus the fact it says HDR is selling it to me.

I know I miss out on the freesync but a gsync equivalent is way out of my league.

Complained and they couldn't take the £6 off my order but they seemed to have got the wrong end of the stick and given me an extra £6 because I complained. Worked out in the end
