yeah weapons is mostly what Ive been getting. How are the IB challenges for today? If they are quick enough I may do them for one last stab at the helmet

1. Get double kills 3 times
2. Cap 5 points in 1 game
3. Get 5 revenge kills

I find double kill one really hard on hunter. Everything is very doable on Titan and 'Lock

Haven't had a chance to look at the challenges for today, gonna do them tonight for one last stab at getting the warlock helmet.

I also finally finished the raid from start to finish, previously I would only do one or two sections a week and jumped in on someone's Calus fight. Did it in about 5 hours with some Giant Bomb Duders, it was a good time. A hell of a lot better than my three previous attempts. That being said, the raid nets you 8 out of 10 of the Emperor's Seals you need to do the 2nd to last step for the Acrius quest... Looks like I'm going back into the raid

Are there any good comparisons of the armor/pose/whatever differences for male and female versions of classes? Not sure if I wanna stick with my awoken female titan or go with a fella.

Poses are the same. Female titan armor fits better this time than D1. I say Titans is the only class that doesn't make the males look stocky/fat. Go for whichever you prefer. Big, brolic dudes fit Titan class unlike Hunters who look like they're wearing armor a size too small to fit them

Gonna slow down on Destiny 2 for sure. I put more than half the time I did in all of Destiny 1 over three years in just little over a month for D2... That's some scary shit, also how the fuck is someone at 721 hours? Is that even mathematically possible?

edit: I guess it is possible. 721 hours is 30 days playing 24 hours a day... wtf dude

It's been a hellish work week in College but god dammit I need to put in time tonight to run the challenges and try and get that IB Warlock Helmet.

I remember Destiny 1 when I had all the time in the world, had three characters and would run everything on everything...

This fucking helmet is going to be the bane of my existence. But I guess now I'll probably have a reason to run IB again next time it comes up.

Got many weapon dupes, but only one auto rifle.
The auto rifle is alright.

Now that i think about it i don't recall ever having a full IB armor set in D1.

seriously though, fuck iron banner. They somehow turned my favorite event into something that I have literally seen people quit the game over. I feel so bad for anyone who's already at 20+ rank ups without a full set. For those who are reaching the final stretch, god speed.

Double kill how many days in a row? It's ridiculous. Super frustrating on my Hunter.

Looking like no, but is there any benefit to keeping my character from the last game? I saw the intro sequence that went over all my accomplishments which was cool but I don't see anything different on my actual character.

Nope, not really. It doesn't carry anything over other than that opening intro. I'm actually regretting importing my character because I don't like the face of my main exo :(

Almost quit this week too. Was at 17 with no cloak or boots on my hunter and luckily I got them both last night.

After not getting the new monarchy cloak at all I was about to wave the white flag on this one.

It's ridiculous to continuously rank up with Failsafe on Exodus Black over 42+. Still no Gauntlets.

Trying to get some Io gear to improve my Recovery broke me on the Token system. Nope, not doing it, I'll adjust without the recovery. I can do Throne room with 2 Recovery, that's good enough for me. I can reach 5 recovery in other ways.

The IB gear on the other hand was just too sexy and I didn't mind the gameplay although it taking 800 Tokens to get there was a bit much on that front hence all the moaning and groaning from me.

I'm at 38 packages, and still no helmet. This is unacceptable. Way too many dupes. I'm getting worn out on this grind, but tonight is the last night, so here I go again. Smh.

they are cheap on Armor. They should just let Banshee give out more weapons while let the Planet Quest Givers more Amor sets.

Failsafe gave more multiple Rank Ups with weapons only. and they mixed in the generic armor along with the planet specific armor.

it's retarded. rank 42 packages

It's funny, bungie increased the drop rate for exotics and legendaries but at the cost of also increasing the drop rate for duplicates. It's crazy how I can get the same exotic helmet 5 times in a row or the same fusion rifle twice in same package from saladin after I had already gotten that gun 3 times...

No hope for us, but hope for others. One of my clan members got the entire set in 11 packages. It's pure b.s. if you ask me. I was literally thinking about not going to work today, in order to stay home and grind IB just for that damn helmet piece. I didn't, but I thought about it.

Could you elaborate on this please? The planetary vendors rotate possible weapons you can receive from the engrams after turning in tokens?

I was not aware of this....

Planetary vendors loot pool doesn't rotate. Vendor pools in general don't rotate. What rotates is what is shown in the preview. You could always get Uriels Gift from Nessus, Gunsmith, or from Engram Decryption. You can also get it from IB.

Edit: Possible exception may possibly be Faction Vendor weapons, but it's unknown at this point since they've only been available for one event.

I got my final piece on the 40th engram but had essentially lost any expectation of it happening. I'm assuming they won't be changing the armor styles for the next one so there is at least that, I guess if you don't get it. Gonna try for Warlock class item today.

I checked my IB rank just for curiosity. It took each class 13 to 14 rank ups to get the full IB sets. Hunter was 13, others 14. It's oddly consistent considering how bad RNG has been with everyone else.

That's insane and really drives home the nature of RNG from player-to-player as it took me at least 30 engrams to get all the weapons and 40 engrams to acquire a whole armor set for one class.

Do you get chest loot each time you finish? Or just the first run?

It's kind of fun this week and I might run it over and over if I can get at least get something at the end.

You get it the first time you run it on each character. So, up to three times per week. Three chests and three Luminous Engrams from Zavala if you have three characters.

Running it again on the same character will not net you those kind of rewards again but you will get XP, Glimmer, etc.

It still hate how bungie took away their character viewer from Destiny 1. I loved being able to have others pull up my character on the website and use the 3d model viewer to look at the gear
