Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite: Alt Costume got shown (Cowboy Ghost Rider, Donte, etc)

I like it. Not as much as OG Dante, and I wouldn’t pay real money to have it as an alt, but I don’t mind the design. He kind of even looks like your av.

I mean I'm asking about actual fans, like people who like new Dante better then classic Dante :p. Perhaps mostly people who played the new game before the old ones? Because I don't mind new Dante, there wasn't much to him imo.

You understand that by paying 30 bucks, they might just make it cost 40 bucks next time?

Why not just wait u till the costumes are on sale? What are you missing out on? Seriously?

Why are you judging what I do with my money?

Maybe I flip games from rummages and pay $10 out of pocket for $30 PSN credit? Maybe I just make enough money that it won't be a big issue?

It's not 2002 anymore. We live in a world where I personally sold a single knife skin in cs:go for $1500, and single skins for an ak-47 can be sold hundreds of times a day for $50+.

Yeah, going by the DmC vs DMC threads, there are plenty of people who prefer the revision. I'd wager a large number didn't play the earlier ones, but there are probably also a fair amount of those who did and just like the newer one.

Yeah. Despite what some DMC fans might say. There is a fanbase for DmC. It’s definitely not a case where the game is Dino Crisis 3 or DMC2 of “the majority hates it”.

This is where I'm at. It's my money and I like this game, it's fun as fuck. For me, I can work 1 extra hour per week and by the time my next paycheck comes I can buy the costume pass. That's less than $2 per costume. If I can say I'll be getting my money's worth (I am), it's worth a purchase

EDIT: The costume pack comes with the rest now? Even better

I like Dante and Iron Man's alts and that's about it from this selection. I think Ms Marvel for Carol is cool but I have preferred the Captain Marvel look ever since it debuted, so it's not something I'd pick up and plan to use as an alternative. I also think the PS exclusive Colonel costume looks better, too.

I still hope we get a DMC1 or DMC2 Dante someday (despite what a trash game DMC2 is, the Dante design is dope). DMC4 is also cool, but probably my least favorite Dante design of the whole bunch that exist -- that one would probably be similar territory with how I feel about Carol's alt -- neat that it was included but worse than the existing default.

How is Spencer's first costume not Rad?

Please don't skip straight to the moustached version, too. But no harm in having both.

Where are you seeing that?
Big deal if so. I still think $30 is a shitty price for all the costumes and not just the first set of 18, but it's certainly better and more easy to digest.

It's on the blogpost on Capcom now - they updated the post to reflect it.

"If you have decided you want all 18 of these glorious costumes, you can purchase the Premium Costume Pass for $29.99! This pass will also contain the Premium Costumes for the remaining characters, which will be available later this year."

Big difference is one likes to put their money where their mouth is and the other doesn't.

That's great. $30 best value confirmed

Thanks.
The temptation to wait for a sale is gone for me now. I'll redeem $10 worth of MS money from Bing Rewards and use that towards it. $20 for all the costumes is completely acceptable to me.

Most of these actually look rather good, which is surprising since while I support the game and like the gameplay a lot, many of the characters look poor.

Donte is a crime though and I will body all of you that use him.

Oh shit. Count me in then!

Can someone add this to the OP? This is big news.

Noooooooo! That Dante costume, Ugh!. Why cant we just get either a dmc 1, 2, or 4 costume? First Crappy Sparda, and now Crappy Dante. I'm so disappointed in that. I can't stop Shaking my Head.

That is fair, and it's nice if whatever they charge isn't an issue to someone personally, but it doesn't dismiss conversations about why there is a huge price spike and if it feels justified.

Development costs going up doesn't really provide a definitive answer. Customers only have limited information to gauge and what they paid for the last game is one of the quantitative pieces of information they have.

I would also argue that voting with your wallet isn't the only way to send a message, but both voting with your wallet and letting them know why is a better route. Companies have better means of direct customer feedback than ever before.

I get the impression a lot of comments are effectively saying, "If you don't like the price, then don't buy it...and also shut up about it too."

I am just asking, I did not judge in that post.

Even if it IS your money, what do you gain by paying for the costumes in advance instead of waiting for a sale? Serious question!

And you're right, the skin market for cs:go is completely insane. Check out this video if you havent seen it yet, why the cs:go skin market is disgusting shit.

Id rather the gaming industry doesnt go in that direction. So wow you made 1500 bucks because some guy that a skin was worth it lol. Does that make it a good game? A good practice? What is your point beyond "its not 1990 anymore".

$30 for 30 costumes? Not a bad deal at all.

OK, that is better.

I have a job....this allows me to get things I want, quickly.

It's a nice perk :).

I also have a job. Yet you did not answer my question. Why pay 30 bucks in advance? Why not wait till they are on sale?

I bought a USF4 pack on sale once. A big sale but still.

And my question stands, if people are happily paying 30 bucks for this already, why shouldnt capcom just price it at 40 next time? Like seriously, why wouldnt they? From a business perspective it would be smart.

1 dollars per costume. Nice deal.

Buy costumes separately would cost 120 dollars
Buy packs separately would costs 60 dollars which would save us 50%
Buy a pass would costs 30 dollars which would save us 75%

Why do you even care? They want their shit asap. It's not hard to understand.

They even got the Devil Trigger right for DmC Dante.

I actually kinda dislike that. They actually put effort into it...
I would've preferred DMC4 Dante or even DMC1 Dante. DMC3 Dante just seems to be the go to which is fine because that Kaneko DT is glorious.

I dunno DmC did well enough to keep the series alive so they seemed to put enough money forward.
Don't forget DmC DE much like DMC4:SE "Exceeded Expectations"

Thank Christ. Makes the pass a bit less bitter to swallow.

Still crap that all of the content in the game is apparently worth $120. I remember old fighters like Soul Calibur where the player 2 alts were just alt costumes for each character. Modern games suck.

Am I not allowed to care or ask these questions? Whats stopping Capcom from a 40 dollar pass next time? Or a 60 dollar one the time after that?

We are all MvC fans here I take it. So we can discuss this in a civil manner?

Are you? I'm not sure since you seems upset about the prices by judging some of your posts in previous pages. And there are several reasons why people want to buy the contents.

1. Support the company so they want to make their voice with their money in hope they would get more characters later in the road
2. People like to collect the costumes
3. Some costumes looks better than their default costumes like Donte and Chris.
4. Some people prefer to have more choices with the costumes for their favorite characters.

If anything, you should check out other games and see how they make money with the customers like lootboxes, etc. I'm not fan of not getting costumes I wanted from Lootboxes since it's a random.

I did answer you. I want it quickly and can afford it.

That and games have been around $50 since I was little. I remember when they jumped to $60, what, fifteen...twenty years ago at this point? Since then prices haven't really gone up, but development has so.....it doesn't bother me.

The fact that games are still $60 is amazing to me, to be honest.

They'll charge what they can get away with and that meets whatever sales expectation they have.

If someone is OK with the price at the content launch and doesn't want to wait for it to be cheaper to use it, there's no reason for them not to buy it when it comes out. That's just a call that person makes. Same decision anyone makes with the buy now or wait for a sale decision on anything.

Having a dime-store Dante costume makes sense since MvCi and Donte are both poor quality themselves. I do like Chris alt if it has his bomber design on the back like it should.

Damn pleasantly surprised.

Didnt expect that. 30 bucks for 30 costumes is a steal.

Thank you Capcom.
