Do I have to play 1 or can I skip it and play 2I actually liked the themes and tone of KOTOR 2 much more than K1. I felt like it was much more mature

On the one had, I'm hoping we don't see too many echoes of Empire and Jedi here.
On the other, it's been a common speculation that Kylo kills Snoke at some point and takes over. (Pure speculation here, I'm not dabbling in leaks nor inviting it.) One setup in the trailer could be Snoke goading Kylo to kill Rey, and instead Kylo kills Snoke in an echo of Jedi. And then we're left with Rey and Kylo sitting there with a big, "...now what?" moment.
I think that by setting that up, the trailer is also all but ruling it out, given the abundance of misdirection. And that's a little too on the nose. But I still kinda want that, "Now what?" moment anyways.
Thanks for the new avatar, homie
The sheer levels of Kreia energy coming off of Luke in all this marketing... Its just delicious.
I love this.Theory: Kylo kills Snoke but not in any sort of redemptive way, he kills Snoke to rule the galaxy with Rey. Strikes Snoke down with all of his hatred.
What does rule the galaxy with Rey mean?Theory: Kylo kills Snoke but not in any sort of redemptive way, he kills Snoke to rule the galaxy with Rey. Strikes Snoke down with all of his hatred.

I think the post is about what Kylo's motivation would be while killing Snoke. And then Rey's like, "Hell no" and Kylo goes all temper tantrum. What does rule the galaxy with Rey mean?
Yup.I love this.
And suddenly an emotionally unstable murderous asshole with a serious inferiority complex is in control of the entire First Order.

Uh, why wouldn't the First Order be rallying around Snoke's apprentice and a Darth Vader like figure?... except, why would anybody follow this asshole?
Ideas like these are thrown around, but there's no logical way for them to work.

2 is overrated and Kreia often comes off like an inescapable nag.
Also christ that beggar scene on Nar Shadda is bad.
Out-my-ass-theory time
Luke, after VI, was tempted to learn more about the dark side in order to better utilize or understand it. He befriends someone named Snoke. The two journey together and eventually find Sith/dark side teachings which frighten Luke but tempt Snoke. Luke, recognizing that Snoke is dark or turning, decides to try to hide the material from him. They fight and Luke wins, presumably killing Snoke.
Luke hides what he found and vows to never return to it again. He starts his own academy to train a new group of people to prepare for an uncertain future. Behind closed doors, Snoke, who wasn't killed, identifies a disciple of Luke's - Kylo - and convinces him to turn on Luke after revealing to Kylo that he's related to Darth Vader, something Luke told Snoke when the two bonded years before.
Kylo convinces others to join him and Snoke, they fight Luke and presumably kill him, and Luke runs off. Sometime later Rey comes into the picture and I have not thought of how to include her in this half-assed theory of mine.
Ta-da.
Theory: Kylo kills Snoke but not in any sort of redemptive way, he kills Snoke to rule the galaxy with Rey. Strikes Snoke down with all of his hatred.
I mean he did run away and doesn't want to be found. I think he fucked up and knows it.
If they put a new power to the big screen it should be force crush, from Kotor. It shows great power, and would add a punctuation to a battle with Kylo vs some important figure that he makes a ball out of.
And that would be cool to see Rey go with a double bladed saber. It would fit with her staff affinity.
I just read the new run of Vader comics the other night and a thought occurred to me. What if Luke took the Barash vow? It's the only thing that could explain Luke sitting on the sidelines while all this stuff is going down around the galaxy in a (somewhat) satisfactory way. The only thing is it'd be another case of bringing in some obscure reference from external media that most casual movie goers won't know about. And having them introduce it in the movie and explain it wouldn't come off well.
God damnit I don't have time to play through Kotor again
Jedi Enclave
Sith Lords
ENDAR SPIREEEEEEEEEE
It will be cool if Kylo kills Snoke for all the wrong reasons. Vader kills the Emperor as an act of redemption to save his son while Kylo kills Snoke to take power
This is 100% true!KotOR 2 is not overrated in the least. Don't listen to such disciples of the dark side.
Theory: Kylo kills Snoke but not in any sort of redemptive way, he kills Snoke to rule the galaxy with Rey. Strikes Snoke down with all of his hatred.

Hux is a bad hombre and he and Kylo have an inversed version of Vader and Tarkins relationship
I wonder how thatd work without snoke
Without Snoke? He'd just kill him and replace him with someone completely compliant.
Do we know of any films that have this trailer attached? I'm so using movie pass for this exact purpose
