the kylo we see picking up the lightsaber, wearing the helmet in the sith lords chamber is misdirection. They focused ont he hand for a reason. Luke skywalker is wearing Kylos sith lord outfit and will fight the main sithlord in this.

and the speech sith lord gives during this isn't towards Kylo or Ren. But luke.
