OG Xbox Games Coming 10/24 & Xbox One X Enhanced 360 Games

Is that all of them? Kind of a lame list right now. I have a bunch of OG Xbox games that I'd love to play, but my current setup doesn't really allow for it. My OG looks like shiiiiit on my TV.

They won't be adding more until Spring 2018. Apparently it's a clusterfuck of licenses and more work on the emulator side.

Thanks. :)

Looking forward to trying some of these out tomorrow. I never had an original Xbox so they will be brand new for me. Eyeing Ninja Gaiden Black and Crimson Skies for sure. Any recommendations?

These BC gains are amazing. In fact the whole Backwards Compatible thing is the one true killer exclusive this gen Imo.

What I find interesting is how the buttons on the store pages say "Download to Xbox 360" instead of what you'd see for Xbox One games. I wonder if this means that Xbox (1) games are technically using a solution similar to that of Xbox (1) backwards-compatibility on Xbox 360. I mean, surely these games don't actually work on an Xbox 360, right?

The improvements to Halo 3 are kind of astounding. It seems to be much, much higher than 1080p, and they say they're adding HDR support? It's a little late for the tenth birthday, but I'm stoked it's happening.

Haven’t been following BC news but does this mean we should expect 360 BC titles to receive resolution upgrades as well on the Xbox One X?

Only 4 right now. Halo 3, Assassin's Creed(1), Elder Scolls IV: Oblivion and I can't remember the 4th.

Wait... This can make Ninja Gaiden Black look better...

I will will now buy an Xbox One S for play one goddamn game.

Can't wait to inherit my friend's XB1 when he gets this XB1X. I've got so many original Xbox games I'm looking forward to revisiting. Kotor looks incredible... I wonder if we'll get any shenmue 2 love.

Honestly, the way MS handled the backwards compatibility has been fantastic so far. I also am disappointed when no interesting games drop, but a rather high percentage of the worthy 360 games are already backwards compatible. Now they're doubling down with 1080p-ish (4:3 in some cases) upgrade for Xbox Original titles, 4K on X1 for both those games and some 360 games, and other coolness like 16x AF and such. I'm looking forward to playing some of these games - I used to play Black on PS2, it will be great to play that in 16 times the original resolution with filters and such, plus with an Xbox One controller and the possibility of taking screenshots, videos and so on. Plus, with MS hinting at forwards compatibility in the future, we could have the next Xbox rocking up until 2025-2026 or so that would STILL carry over the discs people bought in 2001. Even old PC games often need shenanigans to get to work between patches, compatibility modes, DOSbox and tweaking its settings, fan-made fixes, etc.. MS handling their legacy this well is definitely awesome for the fans. Also, think about this: since it's practically a given that Halo 1 and 2 are coming, on Xbox One you'll be able to play the original disc or digital versions of every Halo ever, while you can also check out their remastered counterparts (when available) in MCC. This is great.

Also read that..

OG Xbox games run at 4X resolution on Xbox One S, and 16X resolution on Xbox One X - that's native, NOT upscaled, and that on Xbox One X Ninja Gaiden Black is 16:9 1080p at 60FPS!!!!!!

This is amazing. Never played Ninja Gaiden Black so I'm getting that tomorrow.

Hope to see Conker and the TimeSplitters games in the next updates.
I’d kill for TS: Future Perfect right now. Easily my favourite multiplatform game of that gen. The comedy was very amusing.

Odd that Ninja Gaiden Black is playable but not the original version. It's the same exact engine. Probably the same can be said for all the DOA games. Let's see more Itagaki games!

I haven't had a jaw dropping moment in a while, but seeing the comparisons and reading the news sure made my jaw drop. I can't wait!

Wow, did not expect 360 improvements for One X. That's great news. I already through the BC stuff from 360 was already pretty solid but having some huge res bumps etc will be a thing to behold.

I need to get Black now. Hoping for a sale or if I can a disc on eBay for less. Everything else is fine but not really my tastes - Ninja Gaiden Black could be okay and how is Bloodrayne?

Is everyone just enjoying a feature of Xbox?

No fucking way

No 'well that would be good, but NO GAMES'?
'Id care if I had an Xbox, which I'm never getting'?
'who cares bring back Scalebound'?
