I too miss FROM even though it hasn't been that long....really want to see Miyazaki go nuts creatively and try something completely different from Souls

Demons souls, dark souls, dark souls 2, bloodborne, and dark souls 3 all came out in between shadow of the Colossus and the last guardian. Hell, shenmue 2 and 3 will be, at best, 17 years apart. Not too mention all the defunct series and studios. It's crazy town to miss from compared to basically anything except annual series. That's almost like saying you miss assassin's Creed in the fifteen minute period between releases.

I'm more interested in which of the three games From Software is supposedly developing has Miyazaki directing it. I'm also extremely curious what the "weird" game he described actually is. Hopefully they show off one at the end of this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have to wait until next year.

Even if they had something ready to show i'm not sure they would want to announce it at TGS which is mostly aimed at the Japanese market and it doesn't have (anymore) the prestige and exposure of shows like E3 or even PS experience.
Actually i think PS experience is much more likely for them to show something even if it isn't playstation exclusive.

But yeah i like that, for once, they are taking their time.

Then go complain to all the reviewers and other members of the games industry who say SoulsBorne.

Autocorrect even capitalized the B and added the e for me when I just typed it.

It differentiates the subgenre from the Souls series, it's been in common use since Nioh released.

I'll continue calling it the name I most commonly see, thanks.

I honestly still don't understand why IrishNinja has such a major issue with the term "SoulsBorne".

It's just an easy way for people to refer to both series/games.

I miss them too, FROM are consistant and for that reason, they're among my favourite developers.

But I'd rather have a new IP, and relive the magic of experiencing Bloodborne again. And if it takes them having a break to do so, I'll happily wait.

They have a normal dev cycle though? I understand how you feel since they also reinvigorated my spark in videogames but you just have to dig deeper and give other games a try! I would bet 2019 we'll get a new title from them,vwith a teaser next year.

because there's literally nothing conveyed there that everyone wouldn't already know from Souls as a like series from the same director/etc. if you know souls, you know bloodborne. it's silly and i'm doing my part to help stop it before they make another spinoff and you herbs are saying things like DarkDeathSoulsBorne64

If they're not working on new IP I'd be down for a new Armored Core.

I may be at my saturation point for "souls-likes" and it'd be nice to see then do something different.

I miss King's Field. I mean, Souls games and Bloodborne are great and all but imagining a King's Field game with the art team currently at From makes me sad that it's not gonna happen.

Same for this years E3. Everytime they are missing, my expectations just go higher.

So will From Software reveal anything new at PSX 2017, or do we have to wait until E3, or beyond?

I'm still hoping for Bloodborne II, not to mention their next great multiplat action RPG (whatever replaces Dark Souls) not to mention the next Armored Core game.

Well they are not included in the list of exhibitors for PSX 2017 but Sony was also quick to mention that:
"As with all things, this list is subject to change — plus, we don’t want to give everything away just yet!"
