So gtfo of the thread, ya fucking dweebWow.. who cares
Hey just because it's true doesn't mean you get to go around saying things like that.I think it's because MW2 is a pile of shit
69 Billion thingsWow.. who cares
Was wondering the other day, while going through my Steam owned CoD's, that it might be time for a full on Black Ops reboot/re-imagining by Treyarch? Sort of give it the same treatment as Modern Warfare 2019.This is where I'm at, I was reading that this was originally intended to be DLC, then they were like nah, full game.
Makes me not feel too confident at all. The series has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, especially the multiplayer. But man, the fatigue is real, and has been for several games now.
Great contribution.I genuinely do not understand why people still care about COD...
It's so... I don't even know...
I'm glad for the fans at least.
I actually loved the 3rd one as well, even though it was very inferior to COD4 and MW2. It's certainly a better campaign than alot of the garbage we get nowadays.Good news then, considering how bad the original Modern Warfare 3 campaign was, we can only go up from there.
The studio responsible for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be Sledgehammer Games
Sledgehammer Games
And Advanced Warfare wasn't all that great either. Sledgehammer already had three attempts at making a worthwhile Call of Duty, a fourth one isn't going to change their reputation.Lol, Sledgehammer Games. WW2 and Vanguard where terrible, be intresting to see if they manage to fuck this up aswell and if it doesn't meet sales expectations, cause Vanguard sure as shit didn't.
It's the "we ran out of ideas 10 years ago" reimagining of the original trilogy. As someone who has never played CoD, didn't they release Modern Warfare 3 like....20 years ago? Is this a remake? A remaster? A glitch in the Matrix?
Actually.. millions and millions of people.Wow.. who cares
I thought they were skipping this year and doing an expansion... Oh well
They didn't announce that is was just going to be DLC. It was just leaks and "reporting", mainly from Jason Schreier. Like 2 months prior to MW2 even releasing, Activision financial reporting basically said there was going to be another new premium title. So I guess blame clickbait leaking for that expectation.Id feel better about this if they didn't first announce that there wasnt gonna be a new COD this year but a DLC to MW2.....Then all of a sudden we will get a brand new COD. I donno how much time the team had for all this.

I actually started playing the campaign recently. Just finished yesterday the mission where you have to attack the convoy or whatever jumping from vehicle to vehicle for what seemed a long fucking time. The mission design was legit retarded. Now I'm crafting all this shit sneaking around. They seemed to have fucked it up.
Right, those were just amplifying the leaks and rumors.Eh, the whole internet was reporting on no new COD for 2023. The DLC talk started only months later.
"It's reported that Activision won't be launching a Call of Duty game in 2023, making it the first time since 2005 we would go a year without a new game."
"Previous reports have stated that Activision was not planning to release a full Call of Duty in 2023, opting to put out a big expansion to 2022’s Modern Warfare II instead. However, a new report has stated that Activision has shifted course and is turning that expansion into its own release."
"According to recent leaks, Call of Duty might not release an installment in 2023, and if that's true, then it'll break a 17-year-long streak."
This is just a few quick clicks. So to put myself in the teams shoes who are getting ready for a smaller project 1 year before release and then make the shift to full blown campaign, most probably remaking the actual MW3....sounds like a rush job.
classic mini map where players are actually shown is coming back according to the leaks.
It has been absent for a few games and I think that changed the dynamic of the game so we will see what happens when they put it back in.
Yes, they turned the expansion into a premium release so they can charge you $70 for a big DLC pack.I thought they were skipping this year and doing an expansion... Oh well
didnt even played the second yet
waiting for de MS-Activision deal approval
Current COD isn’t anything like COD 4 though…Call of duty is an amazing franchise, COD4’s mp was an all time achievement.
CoD WW2 has some really sick levels though with some insane animation.Personally thought WW2 and Vanguard SP was shite. Didn't finish either of them and I like a romp through CoD campaigns usually.
Also, MW 19 campaign was amazing. Best one since MW2 (original).
Well Sledgehammer games has tried to make this game twice now. First it was going to be third person and Activision made them pull the plug on the project and forced them to make WW2. Then they tried again and Activision promoted Treyarch to the lead dev on the project so they could turn it into Black Ops: Cold War.Would it kill them to make a COD based in Vietnam? Too soon?
