The two tiered idea has been a failure.

A weak entry level system that people are happy to move on and then Series X a technical and price rival to the PS5 yet has a fraction of the sales. Series X feels like an Atari Jaguar.

You would think they learned from their shit decisions with the xbone and always online Kinect bullshit, but then right when they're turning things around the following gen, some genius thinks up "Series S! A last Gen console in the new gen space! What could go wrong!!"

Well we've all seen it now and bg3 just rubbed that salt in the wound.

At this point, Series X is looking more like a Dreamcast than Atari. Just without all the awesome games.

“Pushing” isn’t the word I’d use. They took a service they already had and enhanced it, while still not being anywhere close to as dependent on it.

A better comparison would have been PSN itself, which currently exists as a response to LIVE. All that considered, they don’t need Xbox to be present to prosper/innovate.

I don't get it. Exclusivity of their catalog? Like putting all of their games for Switch 2? Nintendo are crazy enough to be unhappy about that as they want to be the best publisher on their console. In the Wii gen I remember reading that the dev kit they send to third party was not as good as the one given to first party studios. With this mentality I don't think they are eager to deal with Microsoft, regardless of what value Xbox games would have in a kid friendly place like a Nintendo console.

have you just fucking lost it completely over this? I’ve openly stated on the record multiple times that I wish Xbox could get back to being a good competitor for PlayStation, like many others on here who are critical of Spencer’s leadership I actually preferred the 360 to the PS3 for most of that gen (until after the first party started going downhill when Spencer took over)
