That trailer was cringe inducing, made no sense whatsoever and when it broke into that Japanese pop shite... Jesus wept... Do Japanese game Devs not know how to cut a trailer?
I see you're also bitter about Rise of Ronin, as it doesn't have visuals like GoT. I guess you can carry on waiting another 3 years for a Sony 1st party game to release as it seems like you're only interested in shiny turds. :messenger_hushed:

Gives me heavy nier automata vibes, but hopefully the combat is a lot more interesting.

Optimistic about this, but waiting on reviews.

Has there been a confirmation of PC version yet? I'm assuming Sony has moneyhatted a timed exclusivity for PS5.
It's not a FFXVI situation of timed exclusivity, though. It's a PS Studios-produced game, so it will take some time to be ported, probably in early 2026 going by other first-party titles.
ShiftUp is the ray of light in this world of darkness. Don't know how this made it past Sweet Baby Inc/Sony light beam department and I don't care, it's glorious.

It's being assisted by Sony Japan!

I guess this was previously confirmed, but I wasn't expecting there to be boxed copies. Really thought of this as the type of game that wouldn't get a store version in this market, even with Sony picking it up for distribution .

And as a curiosity, I can't even think of the last time I saw a Korean-made game get a physical release. (Maybe a Lineage or DJMax game? Apparently Black Desert Online has an Xbox disc so there's that too, but it's not common for titles out of that region to get packaged copies, just because of MMOs and other types of games common from there.)

Lies of P is Korean too.

Huh, I'll be danged, that did get a boxed copy. Good to know

ShiftUp just created their own music label - Level Nine (mostly for Nikke related music), but a few of the artists on the label are pure fire. I expect Stellar Blade's music is going to be awesome.

Some examples from Nikke (quoted for screen real estate purposes):
The Red Hood anniversary event dropped a good amount of amazing tracks. Im still using the "Our Hometown" song as my track for the lobby.

Sony/PlayStation as companies aren't Sweet Baby Inc. clients.

I said this in a previous Stellar Blade thread, looks like I was right.
At the end of the day, that stuff is always implemented by the creatives and directors of those same studios, and when we're talking about the one located in California that operated independently for over 25 years, I REALLY doubt Sony had enormous control in what they believe.

That certainly seems to be the case now, let's just not forget how at least in the past certain censorship was directly imposed by Sony/PlayStation (DMC5, only fixed later with a patch).

“Final Verdict: Whilst the story is well paced, the score is complimentary and the action more than serviceable, there is a concern the main character and in particular her design, will set a precedent going forward that is less than favourable. 4/10”
