For the record, I’d like to remind anyone who cares that I said no way in hell it has a 15,000 pound (or was it more??) towing capacity when they first announced like 4 years ago, and lo, it’s right in line with my Ram 1500. Which I can fill up in 5 minutes for $2.90/gallon. And doesn’t look stupid.
Yeah, this looks way cooler than a ram tho.

To me the Cybertruck is like Kel-Tec's P50.

Big, impractical, and I have no idea what I would use it for.........but fuck me it looks like it came from an 80's action movie, and I want one.

if im reading things right a RAM does 25 MPG???? (on a good day) US gallon of petrol over here in the UK would set you back around $9.

i'll take the cyber truck all day every day. Unless my Math is off its been a long day.

You wouldn't be able to fit either down half the roads in the UK, so it's rather moot.

My grandpa owned one of these. He called it his "Gimmick Gun". Showed it off all the time, but I honestly don't know if he ever actually fired it.

Which ironically might be a great comparison to the Cybertruck lol

Yeah I’m sure nobody will be driving Cybertruck around and you will only see them on driveways because it’s a gimmick.

Once they see the $3,000 repair bill for the dumb as fuck windshield if it gets chipped they just might. Especially when stuff like the Ford Lightning or Rivian is cheaper, more ergonomic, cheaper to maintain, and not as much of a fucking eyesore.

I guess we will just have to see lol

May I have a cookie?
Holy fook, this thing is faster than a MV Agusta brutale 1000RR/RS (3.4 sec), a Ducati Diavel 1260 (2.89 sec), a Streetfighter V4 (3.14 sec), a BMW S1000RR (2.89 sec) and they're fucking motorcycles...
Plus, this thing weighs 3 tons (2948 KG to be exact).

How ?
The way I understand it, since there are already so many batteries on the thing in order to provide it with the necessary range (meaning maximum voltage - with the batteries connected in series), it doesn't take much engineering to add a configuration optimized for acceleration (meaning maximum current - with the batteries connected in parallel).

Edit: or something like that. It's a different battery configuration, but not sure if the exact example I provided is the correct one.

Don't pass gaas, it is your Destiny!
Just got myself a EV (2019 Chevy bolt) after my 2021 dodge challenger meet its end to a careless delivery truck driver (was parked no one was hurt). Pocketed most of the insurance money to fund an upcoming move. Loving it so far and it’s kinda like a test car see if I can live with an EV.

When it’s time to upgrade after my move prob get a Tesla, more chargers and shit around for them.

I like the cybertrucks but question their job in winter regions of the world, the door handle doesn’t seem the best.

In one of the videos I watched it says the door will be able to break through half an inch of ice

The Cybertruck has some cool tech, but it’s not a practical truck. You can’t really put stuff in the bed since having the shield up affects the range so much.

Elon all this money could've gone to making a TRON light cycle and I actually would've gone into debt for that

Oof, sucks that you gave Elon cash up front to leverage in other areas.

I'm no Tesla stan because I'm poor, but I admit the Cybertruck is cooler than I originally expected it would be.

At the time I had just gotten a new job making 50% more than my old job so getting it seemed doable. Now with it being $30,000 more and inflation eating into that raise even more there's just no way I could afford it. It was also originally announced with seating for 6 (I have a family of 6) which they took away for the big stupid center console.

I currently drive a Model Y, I love it.

Next I'm either getting this (Best Spec Model) or the Model X.

I've driven the Model X numerous times, I'm excited to try out the Cybertruck when I get a chance. I'll make my decision after that.

I’ll admit the newer Tesla cars look really nice. If I had the money I would purchase one.

The cyber truck. No not yet I don’t like the look.yeah it’s interesting and unique. But do they come in other colours, finishes etc. Maybe after a lot of revisions and any issues ironed out, complete redesign then possibly. I would think about it.

But I do think we need more electric vehicles on the roads.

Just going by the shape of the front of the truck and the driver/passenger seating position vs the windshield, it looks like a crash test dummy disaster waiting to happen in a head on collision.

Watched a long review of the cybertruck. How it all works, it's functions, turning circle, etc etc. Quite impressive generally. I didn't find myself wanting one however. I don't like it's playschool design, (at this point, since we have all drawn this at some point in junior school, we are all Tesla designers 😄) at all. It's just too weird for me.

I guess if you want to go camping within 150 miles of home it’s the product for you 🫡

I was also announced starting at 40k and with 3mm steel panels and now it starts at 50% more and the panels are 1.4mm which is good because 3mm panels on a car is stupid.

It's a big dumb thing, but the road is full of them so people will buy it.

“Details.”

To be fair I should’ve bought a Toyota, I just have stupid brand loyalty ingrained in me and my next truck will have a Cummins

I don't know if he has gotten it yet or not, haven't seen him in several weeks

I wont be back home in Florida for awhile yet as we just got back to Indiana from a family vacation and staying here while our nephew is playing in the boys Basketball State tourney, Regionals this weekend.
