Is there a 100% checklist anywhere?

I just finished the main story and I think I'm going to go for 100% but I want to know what's involved before I start.
Under the statistics from the main menu.

There's a channel you can stumble across in the decoder that is repeating numbers; did anyone ever figure out what that was about?

The Catwoman DLC is well worth having just for making it easier to access the Riddler's final location. Getting 367 Batman secrets and 33 Catwoman secrets like I did was much easier than getting all 400 of Batman's secrets would have been.

Some of these riddles are friggin hard. Thank goodness for the informants.

Who was able to figure out the pressure plate puzzles on their own? Solution:
You've got to hit them all in succession without touching any ground (other than the plates themselves)
. I caved and read about the pressure plate puzzles online and I doubt I ever would've figured it out otherwise. But I remember feeling like a god in Asylum when I figured out the "unique perspective" puzzles on my own...

There must be something reeeally wrong with this game.
Each time they update (I think there have been two, but maybe that's just for Ps3) something starts to not work properly. Everything went fine for two weeks, now after the new update enemies fall down and vanish when I'm fighting in the challenge rooms, the sound (both voice over and soundtrack) is out of synch, and maybe it's me but sometimes I hear bgm that are not in the main game. It's like the more they try to fix it, the more bugs start popping up.
Since the update the only problem I have is that during the challenge rooms, the game tends to freeze for a second then runs normally. Also, has anyone else been stuck at the 84% mark for the side mission Acts of Violence on new game+? I've been roaming the city for quite a while, and I cannot find/hear any assaults going on.

So I am playing...

Going to Steel Mill for second time...close to the back door... Awesome music starts. Full blown choir. Just perfect. I am looking for the name of this score... it was just amazing. I was picking up bad guys with amazing graphics and a fantastic score. What more can one ask from a game XD!

I didn't think the Catwoman ones counted towards that? And you don't have to reach 400 either, the last Riddler area triggers earlier than that, like at 380-90 or something.

It opens at 400 trophies total, of either type.

So the PC version is out in a week (and I guess the Friday of that week for Europe) ... so do we just hang out in here, all of us clearly lttp by over a month?

Also, I hate that Skyward Sword is coming out the Sunday of the PC release too, gonna be a tough November.

i, too, felt a sense of accomplishment over the same thing :) it took me a minute to realize in AC that you have to roll or slide over some plates. the hard ones require bouncing off walls, which fuck me up.

Hey, that's right, the PC crowd is gonna join the fun soon!

Of course, man. That way, you can get help from the people who already played it on consoles (should you want it) and, who knows, maybe you guys will discover some new stuff. I would definitely be interested in that.

Credits Roll, uuuhh, is that it? I mean the game is good and all, but it feels the main campaign is shorter than Asylum, idk... I have to complete some side missions and riddles but I'm not as satisfied with the ending as I was with the last game...

I platinumed the game, and I got lucky with the final two assaults. They were happening by the steel mill, and I stopped one from happening. After I stopped that one, I heard another one happening.

My biggest disappointment of 2011.

Solid game all around (graphics, audio, voice acting, etc), just didn't "wow" me like I was expecting. I spent a couple hours doing side missions / collecting Riddler trophies after I finished the main story, but that was it. Catwoman DLC was kinda boring (not worth all the fuss, afterall), and I wasn't interested in teh Nightwing DLC. So, I already traded it in towards Zelda.

It's kinda odd because I do feel AC is a better game than AA though

I really feel the Asylum was more memorable than the city, maybe I have to explore more, I didn't see that ending coming, I had planned doing all the riddles and side missions before finishing it.

I expected so much more :(

The funny thing is my brother was waiting for me to beat
clayface
and that was the end boss, he didn't look too motivated to play after watching that ending, lol

Does the game's ending change if you play New Game Plus?

I just finished the main game, and while I really enjoyed it, I'm not really motivated to complete the challenges and side quests. I don't know what it is; I got 100% on Arkham Asylum, but I'm just not feeling it on Arkham City. I figure I'll send it back to Amazon while they're buying it at a good price if there isn't any true content left to experience.

Thanks a lot. So you need to scan the pics to get his character bio?
Yes, its a riddle. Something about being on the loose.

You have to scan the picture and desk area. I found that place by accident.

Anybody jump when you try to leave the sewer the way you came in? And
killer croc breaks through the wall when you try to open the gate.

Came out of nowhere.

I agree completely. I wanted to 100% Arkham Asylum like you wouldn't believe, and the entire thing was enjoyable. 100% AA didn't feel like a chore at all. I haven't even wanted to 100% AC. Which sucks. I may go back to it when I can download some skins and things like that, do new game + and see what's what, but I feel like AC was a huge step forward and also a huge step back. I also feel like the controls were a lot more complicated this time, and that marred my enjoyment.

The final conflict especially was such a let down.

Anyway, I still LOVED the game, but the game feels like chunks of the story were cut out from the main game and didn't feel like a total experience. Maybe that's the drawback of going open world.

I also feel like my experience as a whole was fucked up because of the Catwoman DLC debacle. I don't like the feeling of being nickel and dimed, and I really felt that way when it came to this game. The nightwing DLC, the Robin DLC, the skins etc, on top of them cutting catwoman out and sending out games without codes, that really fucked up a lot of enjoyment for me.

I stay at the main menu and listen to this for awhile

It sounds alot like hans zimmer and james newton howard's work from The Dark Night. Theres another track i like that plays at wonder city when your scanning the robots for the video. Can't find it but damn it sounds good.

I don't understand why some don't really like AC. Its so much better than AA in every way. The atmosphere of the world is beyond amazing. I enjoy this game so much that i take my time with everything. I sometimes walk to my destination, and explore the city, instead of flying across rooftops. I play the game for about 3 hours then turn it off. I had the game for over a week now. I don't want it to end. Haha.

My main story complete says 56%. I finished the part where you fight freeze. Im now doing the side mission where you find his wife. Do i still have a ways to go?

I don't really want to know to be honest

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
Man, that ending. What a fantastic game. So glad I still have side missions to do and things to collect. Then on to Uncharted 3!!!

It wouldn't have been as great,
if there hadn't been that singing during the credits
. It really was the icing on the cake.

Amazing game, just finished up the story this evening. (fuck you Australia I'm not paying $90 for a game, I'll get it from overseas thankyou)

Final boss fight was underwhelming but overall an incredible game. Haven't even delved into the challenges yet, looking forward to that and looking forward to finishing the side missions and being the goddamn Batman.

Woops, forgot the soundtrack. Yeah, they nailed that shit.

It's been the complete opposite for me. AA was a once and done game while I've been hunting down Riddler trophies in AC for the past week. The open world helped and the majority of the side quests were good.

So, PC releases will start coming on Tuesday for North America.

Don't think there will be a preload on Steam because it's not Steamworks retail-support enabled; only the Steam version of the game takes advantage of achievements and cloud support.

I've been pretty much in the dark since the console release but console players, I am interested in what the challenge maps have come out to be, so I have a few questions:

1) Combat/Brawl maps - are there any endless maps? Or are they DLC? (I got the impression that the Carnival or the Iceberg Lounge was in that vein)

2) I've seen videos of custom challenge maps where you can use different modifiers? I think I saw "regenerating health" and "low heath" as options, but what else, and what unlocks them? Riddler trophies?

I just beat the story on hard, woohoo! I didn't do very much of the side missions and riddles along the way, so I have a lot more to do still. These Batman games are so much better when playing on hard, it's just incredible.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'

I'm really wondering whether to get this on PS3 for the 3D (really loved it in Uncharted), or PC next week (HDTV/360 pad setup). Does the PS3 have any big problems?

So I finished the story. Pretty good, although the end was a little disappointing. Cat woman seemed shoehorned. Slightly integrated to make people buy it, but not enough since some won't buy it.

Side missions make the game though, from the larger ones to the small happenings and riddler trophies. As to riddler trophies, how do you do the pressure switch ones? Do you have to weigh them down, or is it a certain order? I cant seem to figure it out.
