I understand if the Guile lameness in AE was grating (even though I love watching it), but his lame ass Marvel team was one of the best parts of the stream! I'm just messing with you though, of course I understand why people wouldn't like watching that.
I love watching his Joe and Morrigan lame people to death. And his Dr.Strange is definitely getting better.
Yeah, I understand the excitement for his team and playstyle, but I just don't like lame play, personally, though he definitely got in when he needed to. It's not just Dieminion, though, I don't like Marvel 3 period, what a terrible game that just got worse. And since that's all EC plays, they suck at AE, so there was no serious competition and the matches were boring, also very little character variety, even for a game with something like 10 viable characters.
Anyway, here's the stuff I liked about NEC, very briefly:
Yipes mad betting during Marvel teams and biased commentary
KOF13
PR Rog vs Aquasilk in AE
And the stuff I didn't like:

gurlz on the mic
jaha on the mic
dnyce on the mic

stream chat 99% noise, caps lock and capcom dickriding

and pretty much everything else

Three Capcom fighters being on the lineup with no ASW game appearing would be a joke. They may as well give the next spot to whatever fighter Capcom shits out in 2013 and make it Capcom EVO with two side events and a couple poverty game streams for "anime fighter" fans.
Damn, that salt started pouring fast and furious.

Well, personally I think BB deserves a spot, especially after last year's finals, but won't get it. Gotta remember EVO is biased. If you hit EVO, are a big BB fan, and don't like the policy, hit another major. All you can do.
What I'd do, what I'd expect a competent staff to do, and what Evo would do, are three different things.
Why can't Capcom make a fighter without mad option selects/input issues these days?

Well, it's technically both if you think about it.
If you input a QCF hyper but hold the forward input until the freeze frame close-up happens (I think), the game permanently holds that forward input in memory for the duration of the close-up and will give you a DP hyper on your next DHC if you try to go for another QCF. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is what happened to Chris G.
If you're conscious of this you can avoid it every time, but it's still kinda lame.

Guys I was wondering what day was it? When Chris G did some sick Hawkeye technology and did an absurd amount of damage? I think it was Chris G. I don't recall exactly.

It was a blast and it definitely increased the chances of me buying KOF.
Soul Calibur is a given even without my man Kilik.

I thought the tournament was enjoyable. KoF finals were awesome (can't wait to watch the archive of the whole tournament), Marvel had some fun matches amongst the sea of Weskers (B-more came through, Chirs G with dat Clint, Die laming it up like a boss), and the commentary was funny. Just don't ever give Jaha or the Sp00ky's Angels the mic ever again.

the MvC3 matches were dreadful to watch, probably the highest unforced errors per capita of any tournament ever. yipes was trying was too hard on commentary. it did get me to watch jaxel's stream for KoF, TTT2, and SC5 which were way more enjoyable, so that was nice. seeing the SC5 staff go in with players was good stuff, 6v6 SC4 NA vs France was cool too.

What if you do, like, a half circle forward for the beam super? Would that still count as a dragon punch if the Forward had been previously buffered like you described?

Defense has never been called lame as far as I know. Spamming shit from the other side of the stage is another story.

So if you Perform a QCF super and immediately cancel into another QCF super, you are going to get a DP super.

That has never happened to me before.
No if you hold forward before suddenly performing the second QCF it becomes a DP (because it registers the forward as the start of the SRK motion) .. I think.

Happaned to me before. Quite often when I was learning Vergil. Though, I play on pad, if that makes a difference.
Who was it that said this was the new "Best Game Ever" moment? I was pretty much done when I read that. :lol

I can't think of a good reason to be holding a direction while doing a super as it is unless I'm using Ryu and I need to aim my searchlight.
For some perspective, doing forward and then a QCF motion has been the standard shortcut for an SRK motion since SF2. Suddenly blaming it on "input leniency" is a bit of a stretch.
I use pad too, and again, this has never happened to me once.
Pretty much what Chris G wanted right here.

It's a matter of this. In the first week of ultimate I was frequently cancelling gimlet into Ghost Rider's flame tornado super and getting his bike instead.
