ForGG looks really good but I still want to see him against better players. He beat code A, somewhat overrated Toss in Sage. Then he beat Polt, who is a good player I won't argue that. Then he stomped July, who is one of the worst zerg players in the GSL imo; he has no depth to his gameplay, and almost always all-ins.

I want to see ForGG play some more macro games. Of course to get there, someone would have to survive his rushes and pressure. Dunno why the fuck Artosis wants to see him play Nestea though...Nestea is finished. But I want to see him play MMA, MVP, DRG, etc.

$140 for 2012 GSL + blizzard cup, ad-free, that's way less than I spent in 2011 for ad-free access, nice.

The premium+ monthly subscription is way too expensive, however, just to get GSTL and crap like AOL on top of that. $420/year. Ridiculous, I don't see how that adds up.

What's the difference between premium and light?

The light ticket doesn't give you the Blizz Cup ($10 for the ad version I'm guessing?), dual live streams (during Code A group stage), mobile site livestream/vods, or Korean VODs. Luxury items really unless you take advantage of the mobile stuff.

I use the mobile site pretty often, so premium it is.

... and bought. Now watch Heart of the Swarm suck and turn me away from Starcraft forever.

I don't have cable so I get my money's worth from GSL. The premier SC2 league in the world. I'm waiting for the package with GSTL to become active. I love the team league.

After reading EviLore's comment about the monthly pricing. I have a feeling GSTL is going to be expensive in 2012.

GSTL last season wasn't all that great. I hope they change the format at least.

Yes, I personally vastly preferred the old GSTL format. Take a little break from the GSL for a tournament with lots of drama and urgency that's decided quickly. NASL-style, zzzzzzzz.

Additional Information:
We have already shown a glimpse of our new format for the 2012 GSL Series at GSL November. It has become a lot harder to stay in Code S as we want to make sure that our premier league only contains the current best of the best!

The length of the season has also increased with these changes, a regular GSL season now runs for over 2 months and will be held 5 times in 2012. In contrast to what we've shown you in GSL November, all group stage matches will now also be Best of 3 instead of Best of 1. For more detailed information on the format changes please visit this link

The Team League will finally return in early 2012 with a slightly tweaked format. The GSTL will run for about 3 months and will be held 3 times in 2012. The format will differ from the one used during 2011 GSTL Season 1, details on that will be announced in the near future!

I got excited dual stream meant korean and english stream live.
Code A would be so much more incredible that way. Oh well.

Bought yearly.

Light for $70 or Premium for $100 are the best annual GSL options IMO.

Premium+ is $40 more than Premium just to get rid of a 30 second ad between games, not worth it IMO.

The monthly subscription $20/month works out to be $240/year but you get GSL, GSTL, Other Tournaments, plus Korean VODs and mobile stream/VODs. The $35/month, $420/year option just to get rid of ads is hilarious, why would you pay an extra $180/year just to skip 30 second ads?

I really don't understand the people who pay for the ad-free options. They're so much more money to avoid 30 seconds of ads between games. It's not like the ads are causing you to miss anything.

Code A is now more than ever just the qualifying round of Code S, since the top 12 in Code A automatically advance to Code S.

Not a fan of the ticket options offered...

I just want to watch everything. A yearly fee that includes everything would be the best thing. Not this monthly fee, not this yearly fee without GSTL and AOL.

Options are good, but the option I want is missing.

The $20/month gives you everything, just pretend it's a $240/year everything pack.

What is being paid for is English casting. They don't get enough views from foreigners for advertisements to cover the cost of 5 full-time casters plus John the translator.

So Ill work out a deal with them to pay less for less moletrap.

Man, when I first read the about the new pricing model I was ecstatic that they were finally introducing some options.

But I'm really disappointed right now that the cost per season went up, the cost for every other league went up (which can be seen by the subscription which assumes a discount on other leagues) and there's no mention of any sort of increase in quality for viewers. I've paid for every single season since the beginning and now I'm finally starting to reconsider whether I should be spending this much money on GOMTV :/

So we are paying extra because of Moletrap? Another reason to dislike him.

Fire some casters and make Code A casted by Korean commentator > problem solved / lower price.

how are you seeing the price go up? I mean, I guess if you've paid for all the gsl you'll just do the yearly, which is 100 bucks. that works out less than the 10/month you're already paying. plus now you get the korean commentary, unless we got that before. I never knew, nor really care, but still.

it's pretty obvious gom wants this money up front. hopefully they aren't having money issues.

I like to pay monthly. I don't want to pay them a year in advance for a service (no offence to gom) that isn't guaranteed.

Also if they are having money issues, this is just going to delay them for a short period before they burn and crash since they won't be getting any cash before 2013.

There aren't 12 GSL leagues in a year and I'd MUCH RATHER see improvements to stream quality that they haven't improved for months than access to the higher quality Korean VODs.

Sony Ericsson Global StarCraft II League Jan.
(Finished) Unlimited Completed $9.99
2nd Generation Intel® Core™ GSL Mar.
(Finished) Unlimited Completed $9.99
2011 LG Cinema 3D Global StarCraft II League May
(Finished) Unlimited Completed $9.99
Global StarCraft II League July
(Finished) Unlimited Completed $9.99
Global StarCraft II League Aug.
(Finished) Unlimited Completed $9.99
Global StarCraft II League Oct.
(Finished) Unlimited Completed $9.99
Global StarCraft II League Nov.
(Ongoing) Unlimited Completed $9.99

This is all you're going to get with the $70/$100 ticket. The $70 ticket doesn't include the mobile access OR the dual streams (the latter part bothers me especially). So essentially you're paying $30 more for next year to access the same amount of content you could this year. The only people who are going to care about Korean VODs are going to be BW-diehards or people who want to watch something in higher quality if we're getting the same 1080p content that the Koreans get.

If you look at the total amount of content this year, excluding the Blizzard Cup, the cost for everything (without ads) was $174.84 without having to pay bulk. Next year, the "everything included" subscription comes out to $240.

This is why I am disappointed. Maybe if they said "720P OR HIGHER WITH NON SHIT BITRATE LIVESTREAM NOW" I'd be more inclined to support higher costs.

you never bought GSTL? That would boost that 70 to 100

I paid about 125 in total and I didn't buy the first few seasons. Wanting to buy monthly is valid though.

Though I fully agree with the stream quality. It's fucking awful.

GSTL is included in my $180~ total for everything. The only new package currently that includes GSTL is the $20/$35 a month package.

the yearly don't include them? It says coming soon, whatever that means.

I mean, i'm not champion gom here. I just don't understand that if you paid for all that last year why you wouldn't just do the yearly for the better deal, that's all.
