Oh, the feathered NPC/humanoid chocobo? I had a feeling. She (it?) was appearing in almost every environment where the shop icon was located in the trailers.

Anyway, DLC details from Jump Festa:

First off, the Omega DLC will be available in Japan on 12/22. No pricing was given. Serah and Noel costumes will be releasing starting in January with the AKB48 winning costume and Assassin’s Creed respectively. In February, a swimsuit costume for Serah will be release.

This is still pending, but apparently Lightning will be featured as Colosseum DLC. She is said to be wearing her old outfit from FFXIII.

I just saw the ending on Youtube.

I really don't understand all the hate this is getting, it takes some balls to do that and certainly is a nice twist to make the new game+ part of the story actually.

Sounds like they took a few pages out of Namco's book with regards to DLC, but that doesn't surprise me. If they're $5 each just like the Namco ones, I wouldn't be surprised with that either.

I am hoping that they release the Omega DLC for a price on US PSN, though...

Perhaps some of the old FFXIII characters might be paid cameo battles, if that's what Lightning's supposed to be.

Awesome news. I honestly cannot stand Serah's regular outfit, so by the time this game hits US shores I should be able use the stylish AKB48 alt. Lightning as a DLC character is...

Man, they should make Tabata the director of FFXV instead...

By the way, is the story better, on par, or worse than FFXIII, Kagari?

They're okay (but not great), but the whole of Vagrant Story's cast is just shameful. "I am the reinforcements!" does little to actually figure out what any of the characters are actually doing.

It takes balls if the New Game+ changes the outcome.
It sucks if it's the actual ending of the game (it's clearly the first one you get) and New Game+ mode only leads to changes in incidental dialogue and unlocked content.

So yeah...
as a blatant plug for FFXIII-3 as folks over on GameFAQs are surmising, it can't exactly be construed as a bright move.
Especially with the lead time on this game's release in English-speaking territories.

But I'm with you on the New Game+ thing. Verdict's still out on that, however.

so that trailer they showed a week or two ago with the gigantic futuristic town where everything was completely white and overpolished and poorly designed....you can't go in the buildings?

While it sucks you can't go into buildings, I pretty much already assumed that would be the case. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case with Versus.

Either way, it's just like Xenoblade, so it's not a big problem.

To be honest,
the game flat out ends on a "TO BE CONTINUED" card. Even for games that have at some room for an alternate ending, they would at least give some kind of hint. Unless there is some serious New Game + shit going on, we're going to have to wait until XIII-3.

LOL have you not been keeping up with Versus news? Because im sure it's confirmed to have towns and a world map unlike FFXIII and more traditional too like X/X-2.

The DLC will be $10 each. You have to pay the Square Enix Tax.

People say a lot of things. That trailer they put out just showed what could be towns in the background, but they could easily be "wallpaper".

I'll wait until we actually know anything about the game. Like if it's real.

I caved and imported. Even though my expectations are low I just felt so left out. This was the first FF since 6 I didn't import on day 1. Monday it is.

Kagari's impressions are about what I expected. I figured the plot would be garbage so that just left me with the pretty environments, time-traveling, and monster collection. What are your impressions of the monster collecting, Kagari?

So can anyone inform me (kagari) what the rehash % is? Like how much of the game would you say is straight out of 13 in regards to areas and enemies.
