Right, as you guys might remember, some of us PonyGAFfers are making a game. If you don't, here's a reminder: we're making a game. Give the demo a spin. Visit the website.

Now that you've been reminded of/introduced to the awesomeness that is Cutie Mark Crusade: A Dash of Adventure, you must be asking yourself: "Gee, I wonder how I could help these fine gentlemen in developing this no doubt wonderful My Little Pony fan game that will assuredly blow even Fighting is Magic, as impressive as it is shaping up to be, out of the water? Surely there must be some way I can contribute?" Well you're in luck, for now we are giving you the chance to do just that!

As you might know, the first episode of Cutie Mark Crusade will be set mainly in Ponyville. During the game, the Cutie Mark Crusaders will visit numerous locations from the show, such as the Ponyville library. As is typical of libraries, the Ponyville library is full of books. Lots and lots of books. And you know what books have? Names. That's where you come in.

So here's what you need to do if you want to contribute to the game: come up with names for the books in Twilight's library! Simple, no?

Anything goes: we want alliteration, we want silly horse-related puns, we want parodies of famous novels and authors, we want references to movies, books, comics and video games. Or just names that you think ponies might give to books. Go wild. However, keep in mind that we are trying to keep the game mostly in-universe and suitable for the kids, so please keep it clean.

So, if you have the perfect idea for a book name that you want included in the game, let us know by sending your suggestions to me via PM. We won't guarantee that you'll see all the names you send to us in the finished game, but we are planning on putting in a lot of them. If we do use your suggestions, you will of course be credited in the game's credits when it eventually comes out, so when you send that PM, please also include then name you want to be credited by, if any.

Thanks in advance! I'll leave you with this classic piece of fanart for inspiration:

Just finished doing Fluttershy's blinking idle animation for the game, thought I'd share it with you. :)

A guy really learns a lot from frame-by-frame analysis of the show's excellent animation work.

That means that today's episode, "Lesson Zero", will be playing for another two hours if you haven't yet caught it. Hope to see you in the synchtube! http://www.synchtube.com/r/PonyGAF#

Oh,nicely done :-D
Though may I voice one suggestion? The eyelashes wipping up seem to need a frame of transistion, now it looks a bit rough in an otherwise super smooth animation.

Pancakes

hot, steaming, as melted butter slips into the cracks, drizzled with sticky sweet syrup OH GOD
Blah, got Portal from the Steam gift contest.

If there is anyone in PonyGAF who hasn't played it yet (lol), post here and I'll gift it to you. I'll do a drawing if there is more than 1 person after 24hrs.

Thank you for your tip. Even though it's something that is not likely at all to be noticeable (that GIF is at about 15 FPS, and the game itself will be 30 FPS, and the sprites will be scaled down in the game settings), it's not hard to take your observation into consideration, and I surely will.

Sorry for the double post, but I think this is worth it:

I'm offering my Steam gift copy of Half-Life 1 to one among any GAFfers who draw a sketch of my OC Fixer Upper in the next 24 hours. Just PM the sketch to me to be entered into the draw.

Just watched Sweet and Elite and whatever that one where Spike grows Xbox huge is called. Both of them really good episodes, further proof that Rarity and Spike are the two best characters on the show.

The detail of the eyelashes moving is really good, maybe a little smoother would be better as FoxSpitit has already said. But yeah, its probably perfect like it is right now as mbe it will be less noticeable in the game.

For better or worse, I have been conditioned to think of this promo when I see/hear the words "cup of coffee."

Well now I have to do this.
the alternative plan was Benoit making coffee but well he's not very much about friendship and magic
.

On a more related note to the topic, who the hell wants to drink coffee filled with ponies? I bet it tastes like hay....and manure.

Hay and manure = the new friendship and magic?
