Rock Band DLC Announcements

And the last pre-announcement, Hall and Oates. Which it sounds like will be really early in the new year.

Hope we get "I Can't Go For That" by Hall and Oates. Love the De La Soul song that samples it.

Random "leaked' track from earlier in the year: wtf happened to "The Weight" by The Band? It was leaked like in the summer and still a no show :(

RB3 releasing for Games on Demand tomorrow apparently. That's great as it's no longer sold over here.

Megaton no longer secret megaton <sadface>

I hope it is $19, if it is I will probably bite because I would love to not have to switch discs to play RB. I wish they had a way to enter a special code and discount the price of Games on Demand games if you already bought a retail copy...

Holy Crap. One of my requests granted. So pumped. Hoping for a megapack!!!

Private Eyes, please!!!!

Yeah seriously it better not be just 3 songs. Here's what I want to see:

She's Gone
Las Vegas Turnaround
Sara Smile
Rich Girl
Kiss On My List
You Make My Dreams
Private Eyes
I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)
Maneater
Say it Isn't So
Out of Touch

Gah. Scorehero says it's a 3-pack!??? How do you narrow them down to just 3?!!!

If Private Eyes isn't in there I'm gonna be crushed.

Games on Demand ver of RB3 is up on 360. I just bought it, 5.5GB, $19, totally worth it for me. RB3 has been hogging my disk drive for the past year, I will be glad to not see that damn blue disc I keep having to take out.

Can you tell whether it is available in Europe? This is crucial to me getting an Xbox 360. (Also free XNA from university)

I thought there was supposed to be more Rush news? I was really crossing fingers for 2112.

3 Pack Hall n Oates means it doesn't matter which ones, I'm getting it.

I have no ideas about region but I'm logged into my en-us account from Japan IP and I was kind of surprised that it didn't IP block me from purchasing it (press X to switch to purchase with MS points too). I am quite sure lots of people here in Tokyo would love to play RB3 but cost of importing it is prohibitive, too bad they don't sell cheap knock off guitars or something because even my own RB3 guitar is still broken from months ago.

If you have the game installed on HDD from disc it might not show up as "Buy", the trick is to go into Extras and it should be listed there. I thought it wasn't out yet until I noticed that.

Oh I didn't even think of the scenario of people owning RB2 but not RB3.

I totally can recommend RB3 without flinching, although it's just small improvements here and there...make sure you have some friends who have the game on your friends list as there are interesting stats to look at after you play songs. I'm having fun with the keyboard but it's kind of hard and has a high learning curve so I guess it's not necessary...

If it is a 3 pack, my money is on Private Eyes, You Make My Dreams, and Maneater. Those are the biggest ones. But that wish list you posted is indeed awesome. She's Gone would be so awesome to get. Shit, this list makes me want to download some Hall and Oates stuff and listen to it. It has been a while.

And WTF is Oates wearing in this video? LOL

Are there any disadvantages to getting the GonD version of RB3?

I have RB2 (as well as the RB1 and RB:LEGO tracks). Would I still be able to import those?

Does the physical RB3 disc come with a code for possible RB4 imports?

I've been meaning to get RB3 for a while now but I'm cheap and lazy. Can't seem to find a decent deal on RB3+Keys (360 version) lately.

Long shot (and don't know if the place to ask) - but is there a chance to get some Savatage songs in RB?

Another thing - I have an NTSC copy of RB2 and a PAL copy of RB1.
How's DLC working with that? Which store should I buy from? the US one or the UK one?

Can't trade it in, that's about it.

Imports should still work, they're really just DLC.

I believe there's a code in the manual but it's never been used. The game does generate a unique code for account linking purposes, though. Nothing has been said about any RB4, or any exporting scenarios on that front, so there's no info on which code if any will be relevant for such an export. (Beatles RB has a code on its manual, that's never been used.)

RB3+Keys is I believe one of the reissue bundles, so it ought to be in stores...

If Nuclear Blast is willing to go back into their catalog a bit, it's absolutely possible they'd appear in RBN. It's heavy metal, on an RBN-friendly label.

There's no more new DLC for RB1 or 2, and RB3 is apparently region-free, so I'd just stick with whatever region your Live account is in. (US and UK should have identical DLC access.)

Also, if you've exported RB1 from PAL into RB3, or are planning to, read this.

Cool, thanks.

I just get confused when the only RB3+Keys bundle I can find is on Amazon for $150. But I can get the keyboard by itself from Gamestop for $40 and the game on XBLM for $20. (Which is what I'll probably end up doing.)

Since we found out from the Reach beta disc fiasco that MS can actually determine the difference between the disc and GonD version of a game, I'm somewhat assuming that if RB4 happens, RB3 GonD users will be given the ability by just having RB3 on the drive to export.

Ugh. At least I can save money next week.

I just expelled mine out the other end. At least Harmonix knows I am broke right now and helped me not spend money next week.

And where are the Christmas songs this year? I was expecting some this weekend.

This was explained in the stream, Christmas songs only sell at Christmas and the sales completely die for the rest of the year, so they don't want to do Christmas DLC every single year.

They have some weird policy where they only allow one "goddamn" on a song. They used the radio edit for This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race, as well.

It's not weird, it's explained right in the RBN docs why. The game is rated T and song releases are targeted towards that even though DLC doesn't have to be T.

That's weird. I watched the Giant Bomb quicklook of the Black Eyed Peas Kinect game that's rated T and there were plenty of "shit"s and I'm pretty sure that there was some line about the guy's semen.

Shit was demoted as a cussword like 3 years ago :p

Goddamn gets censored out if it's used repeatedly through the song (but is also a result of them getting the radio edit).

Bitch and shit are "whatever", it just depends on what master they get.

The only two that aren't allowed at all are cunt and fuck.
