last night i went for a run. my 3DS was in my kit bag in my car... i didn't see a single person out on the path along the cape cod canal that i run along sometimes. came back to find i'd got a streetpass.

that's definately the most unexpected streetpass i've gotten.

You mean per other person's 3DS? Then yes. My roommate has a 3DS as well. I get one every 24 hours if his is in sleep mode.

Nope, every 8 hours, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a few minutes after. My sister has one, and I manage to get two to three a day from just her. (I generally let her have both at home if I get work, so she can go through the find mii quests faster.)

I have a general question about the Mii World Map though. I have a few countries that don't have any maps at all. The map will have the number of people I StreetPassed with (e.g., Regions: 2), but the map will simply display as "No map available". Would that be because the other people didn't put in the specific region that they're from, or is there missing country maps from the StreetPass Map?

Went to a local anime convention over the weekend, got 94 new Miis in my Plaza! StreetPass is really picking up! It's also awesome that now I get at least 4 StreetPasses a day, from my boyfriend, our roommate, and two of our neighbors, lol. And one of those neighbors went to MAGFest, and he came back with every single pink puzzle piece except three from the Super Mario 3D Land panel. I'm so looking forward to stealing all of them from him! XD

got a streetpass hit at my dentist today. A girl in the waiting room was playing MK7 while he tortured me. I could hear the main MK7 theme and several "yippies"(apparently she was driving with her own mii) whenever he stopped the driller.
She looked very nice in real life but her mii has emo-eyes make-up. dunno why

You can only hold a max of 3 Mario 3D Land tags at once. If you want to maximize your tags you have the start the game up periodically and run through what you've gotten.

Oh. I don't know if it's just me, but the Streetpass feature for 3DLand is pretty mediocre. I just get spotpass stuff for those presents. I've had several 3DL streetpasses and only one MK7, and MK7 was far better in content.

After wasting a week's worth of play coins trying to get a white shirted cat for my second go at the penultimate room in Find Mii 1, I've started to get a bit annoyed by this. I could have completely unlocked the Swapnote feature set by now.

So, I know a place that has a demo unit. It's on my commute home from work. Unfortunately, the store it's at is also a Nintendo Zone hub. Spotpass seems to block or out prioritize Streetpass. So I was unable to tag that unit for the white shirt. (Store demo unit is pre-update, if that matters).

Is there a way to block JUST Spotposs/Nintendo Zone and not Streetpass on these? I can see the disable for it all with the switch, but the free wifi things seems to take over no matter what, and there's no "get lost" options in Nintendo Zone itself.

I just moved to a new region in Japan and I'll be bringing my 3DS with me all the time. Out of the 47 prefectures, only have people from 16 (missing the whole east Honshu area, from right above Tokyo, to just below Hokkaido).

Other than that I got...

- Brazil (no regions nor map)
- America (1 state (California))
- Spain (1 region (Madrid))


And that's it. Then again I don't really bring my 3DS around with me all that much. I'll start to bring it to work too. I bet I'll get a bunch on a daily basis (work at a game company). All I need now is to get myself a new bike so I can ride around the city and get streetpasses, lol

I went to that Zelda Symphony concert in Dallas last week. Tons of people with 3DSes there. I got 115 StreetPasses. Could've gotten more if I kept on checking that thing.

It's ridiculous that you can only StreetPass 10 people at a time, and you have to play the games/get puzzle pieces with a group before you move on to another, unless you want to forfeit any potential progress in Find Mii/puzzle pieces.

Anyway, I was almost able to finish Find Mii 2 for the first time with the 115 StreetPasses...

I went to Mitsuwa near Chicago and Woodfield Mall (biggest mall in the area) for 2 days recently and got a total of 7 streetpassses. This is like the same amount I got in the first 7 months after the 3DS launch lol.

It saves any Miis you haven't played Puzzle Swap or Find Mii with until you check the Gate again. The game warns you before you do it, too, so you don't really have anyone but yourself to blame if you lose them. =P

I think this is because the feature is not available in their country so no map at present.

How I came to this conclusion is that I am from NZ, I have about 7 Miis, only 1 is from outside of NZ (Japan). When I changed my region settings to England, United Kingdom I saw the World Map for the first time (as said, not available in NZ). When I clicked on it I saw UK (Place of consoles region), Japan (Place of singluar Mii) and 'Map not yet available' when it said New Zealand (6 Miis from NZ).

That's my theory anyway.

I was surprised to find that I streetpassed someone during a trip to the Dallas Museum of Art in the middle of a weekday.

At the same Zelda concert Alfredo is talking about, I got 100+ hits. It was also the first time that I've gotten a streetpass from out of state. California, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

First day of classes start tomorrow for me. I'm hoping that a bunch of people got a 3DS over Christmas!

This is honestly one of my favorite functions of the 3DS.

Getting hits here in Fukuoka is pretty easy if you hit up Tenjin or Hakata. On christmas eve alone I got around 60 or 70 hits while shopping, but just because I was checking every now and then.

And yes, the Zelda concert was insane for StreetPass, I almost cleared Find Mii II from that night alone.
