Talk about alienating PS3 owners. Fuck you Capcom, I hope this game flops.

I kid... but it probably would've without this demo attachment.

I had planned on getting this for the PS3, but the early RE6 demo is quite enticing. Ah, what the hell. I am going to get it on PS3 anyway just because I know I would enjoy something like this much more with the DS3 controller.

Anyway, I think the game is going to be fantastic and am actually glad it got moved to May. Gives me more time with Reckoning, Mass Effect 3 and The Witcher 2. 2012 has started off with a bang for me and is looking to eclipse last year early on.

I generally don't get up in arms about exclusivity or even timed demos, but what the hell...

Consumers on the PS3 are getting shafted big time. It's almost like Capcom saying, "Your money is good, but not as good as these 360 owners over here." Big time bullshit, Capcom.

No way was I going to find time for Dragon's Dogma amongst Yakuza Dead Souls, Mass Effect 3, and Tales of Graces f.

What a terrible practice. Timed exclusive demo? Doesn't really affect my decision to get Dragon's Dogma on the PS3 though. Sad to hear about the delay.

Capcom being Capcom...I'm anticipating it will be some abomination of game mechanics that they will think a "Western audience" wants.

The relative success of Demon Souls and Dark Souls shows that a western audience enjoys a challenging type of RPG/Action game. If they had ever got their shit together and put a Monster Hunter on PS3/360 in the west...they'd be reaping the rewards by now. I've given up hope on getting a HD console version of Monster Hunter and I don't really believe Dragon's Dogma is going to be a suitable substitute.

..I'd love it if Capcom proved me wrong though.

I thought Lost Planet 2 was pretty close to parity other than the usual set up with AA, no?

It is one of the bigger slaps to the face of PS3 I can recall. As you said, it is indeed as if those who buy their game are not as worthy as those who buy it on the 360. No matter, I still plan on buying it for PS3 anyway, but this honestly makes me wonder about the quality of the PS3 version.

Only played the LP2 demo but it was pretty ugly on the ps3, I can't remember what the framerate was like though, but RE5 wasn't that great either, with some ugly temporal AA, blurry textures and slow downs :(

I'm probably going to get the ps3 version, but I'm not really going to be expecting much.

Unfortunately...that's not a new announcement. Google the neogaf "Dragon's Dogma" threads prior to this one and you'll see the confusion/disbelief/outrage over the no co-op announcement.

Apparently you can send some of your outfitted NPCs to other players and vice versa? (I'm not 100% clear on the concept)

Time exclusive demo is lame as hell, but it doesn't really matter, both games went on my day one buy list (PS3) the moment they were announced.

I think the concept is that the AIs will learn and adjust and you could trade them online, like if they went through an area on one player's game, they will learn, know the monster's weakness and give you tips etc, but yea I'm not 100% sure how it will work

But can't you just download and burn the demo? I've never done but I heard it's possible, that's why I'm asking. Maybe it only works with "public" demos?

I seem to remember people doing it with a RE5 demo precisely lol

I want Mega Man and Pac-Man instead of a demo. I guess this is what Microsoft paid for instead on fighters for SFXT.

The ‘Pawn Upgrade Pack’ will give players additional Rift Crystals allowing them to rent higher level experience Pawns from the outset. The ‘Armour Upgrade Pack’ and ‘Weapon Upgrade Pack’ deliver higher level armour and weapons respectively giving players a real advantage when tackling the toughest of enemies.

The demo is probably time exclusive on 360 because it's the lead platform. PS3 version must run like shit right now or something.
