Recently played through The Ark again in Halo 3. Noticed something new on this play through. If you're sitting still in a small vehicle as the Forward Unto Dawn is coming down into the atmosphere, the shock wave will send you flying like all the other debris.

I'm sure others have noticed this, but still a cool moment.
First playthrough on Legendary, made it to that spot without getting killed until my exploded Warthog came flying at me. It's a weird feeling to laugh and be pissed at the same time.

It's not like you're gonna get anything interesting out of it.

Considering the news of the last day or two, I would hope we're at least getting an indication if Waypoint is going to have fileshare management or Halo 3 / ODST stats post transition.

I also assume maybe some February Matchmaking Update details.

Not expecting news on a replacement stats API.

As Fyre said we'll probably get details on the next update.

I'm guessing they'll make two playlists TU (Rumble and DLC) and update the new LD maps which had exploits in it.

I also hope they replace old infection gametypes with my "betrayal proof" gametypes.

Evade will probably stay there :(

Exactly, nothing interesting.

Someone photoshop Sage's face on that guy please

-Keep that handsome Franchise Development Director out of sight, he's distracting the female employees.

-No more glitches in Halo 4 please

What glitches are there in Reach? Only thing I can think of is jetback bomb plant or w/e it was in MLG.
He's probably referring to the health pack glitch.
I don't think it really has a lot of impact on the game, though. Maybe every once in a while you'll get killed a shot or melee earlier than normal, but it doesn't matter that much. Everything for less bloom. :)

Off the top of my head:

- A BXR-ish button combo
- File overwrite bug
- Gauss hog shoots through forge world objects and some scenery objects on other maps
- Elites fall through the floor while sprinting with objectives
- Betrayal bug for Infection
- In a limited lives game, the game will not end until the timer runs out
- Revenant passenger gets massive bullet magnetism
- Reach can't load more than 3 marketplace items at once

Bugs added in TU
- Health pack doesn't actually restore your health, only the visual indicator

What the TU fixed:

None of these

What is this anarchy you bring us.

That one is pretty annoying.

That's an inaccurate characterization. It restores your body health, but the way the head health is built means that headshots and melees to head behave in the way you describe. And only on TU games. That's not an excuse, it's a clarification.

The TU fixed that one really annoying bug where people can pause multiplayer games. It also fixed that really annoying bug which caused shots to just randomly fly off anywhere.

No but really im curious, I had never heard of:

- In a limited lives game, the game will not end until the timer runs out
- Elites fall through the floor while sprinting with objectives

Those 2 bugs sound downright hilarious.

I also never knew about:
- A BXR-ish button combo

Huh, I had no idea head health and body health were separate things. I always figured headshots just multiplied damage towards one pool of health. Interesting.

Fuuuuu- I'm on my iPhone and can't read it. Someone post it here or HBO, please.

Rumble Pit now TU, Team Slayer probably going TU shortly.

Don't know why they just don't go all TU at this point. Now we have two redundant FFA playlists in addition to two BTB playlists *sigh*

But at least we finally got a new Megalo gametype from 343! Neat.

Ugh, playlists I don't care about keep getting the TU, while the newest playlist, which I care about most, is still vanilla. Meaning I still won't play it. Nice job, guys.

Nice to see Action Sack getting some love, though. I'm not sure how fun Hotshot sounds, but it's something new at least.

Omelette du Fromage! Omelette du Fromage! OMELETTE DU FROMAGE!
This fucking episode. I swear they were just trying to brainwash kids into eating more eggs. I know that I asked my mom for a cheese omelette immediately afterwards.

So, is it going to be fixed?

Probably about the time they finally answer if bleedthrough can be separated from the rest of the TU settings or not.

Also, I kinda saw everyone getting 24 slots coming! Nice.

Hotshot sounds like it would be cool for some games, but wading through the general junk in the action sack playlist just to try it almost seems like too much work.

Nice to see them finally acknowledge, even in a tiny way, how broken the Banshee is. Why stop at removing it from Breakneck? Paradiso, Utopie, Renegade, Spire. Why does it have to exist on these maps, ruining it for everyone (especially in the cases of Renegade and the Paradiso variants)? Replacing it with the Revenant (complete with auto-aim bug on a map with two sniper rifles) is not the right move. Until the bug is fixed, that vehicle shouldn't be in matchmaking - people know about the bug and actively go out of their way to use it.

Hotshot sounds neat.

Interesting (and somewhat unfortunate) that they're putting as much work as they are into keeping Squad DLC around rather than forcing DLC matches more aggressively. Objective needs an injection of new maps and a drastic reduction in gametype bloat, but I don't see that coming. Maybe once another hundred people drop out of the playlist, which might happen relatively soon given how the population has been decreasing over the past year.

Some pretty cool updates in this bulletin:
-teamkilling disabled in infection.
-objective gametypes in the DLC playlist. Still no TU though :(
-new action sack gametype sounds pretty cool.
-No more Banshee on breakneck!
-24 fileshare slots for everyone!, that's really awesome.
-Halo 4 news in the not so distant future! (that's probably the thing on the 29th)

And it seems like waypoint is gonna get an update this summer. Probably to suitable for Halo 4 and to add some of the missing Halo Reach features. I hope they will fix some of the loading issues and make it more accessible at the same time.

How come mine can? am i a wizard?

Snoozletin? Starting to get fed up with this. There're so many interesting non-Halo 4 things that 343I could make content about.

The most noticeable changes will include those features seen exclusively on Bungie.net, such as rendered films and Halo: Reach API keys. Those features are not included in the transition, and we do not have plans to develop similar features at this time.
Not surprising, but unfortunate. All hands on deck for Halo 4.

Sweet bulletin, nice to see 343i experimenting with Megalo.

Regarding friendly fire and Living Dead, isn't LD basically FFA, doesn't that means it won't really have any effect?

Also, are we getting 24 fileshare slots for free? that's damn nice from 343!

Living Dead is a special case, you can't hurt fellow humans or zombies when FF is off.

Also, did they mean The Cage replaced with Uncaged? Because The Cage is already in there, and Uncaged was not in there.

How come mine can? am i a wizard?

People coming back to the game still have the Bungie Pro problem. Even in the TU, Bungie Pro will still make the game not load either Noble or Defiant. They did something to the menu UI that seems to make the game forcibly load the Anniversary maps first, which might have something to do why they don't behave and sort alphabetically with the rest of the maps. So you still have to delete Bungie Pro to fix things. Not a huge deal since they can fix it by deleting the Bungie Pro reciept, but still amusing.

When did the Bulletins start looking a little more Bungie? I dig the white on dark. Now increase the text size and spacing a bit and I'm set.

Edit: Increasing the text size in my browser hits the spot.

I'm not surprised that video rendering and the stats API are getting lost in the transfer, I'm sure it would take too much time/money to set it up at 343 - effort that I'd rather see put into Halo 4 anyways.

I just wonder how the community is going to react during those 3-4 months where the only way to get Halo screenshots and video to your computer is through a capture card.

Action Sack's new gametypes sounds neat but I think most people want a more mini-gamesque AS experience.

Hope they start looking for these kind of gametypes.
