Regarding that digital region lock nonsense, is there no way to use a Vita with a US account to play a Japanese game (for example) by using that as the second activation for the game without resetting it? I've thought about that before, but I've never seen it mentioned, so I guess there isn't any way to do that.

LiveArea is one of the key features of the Vita "desktop". As I understand, every game has a LiveArea, but say... the bubble screen and the application overview (where you can swipe between the opened apps) has no LiveArea.

Yes every screen basically has a live area. For example the PS Store has a live area that has different icons that get pushed from Sony. When you click on the a specific icon it will take you to that section for that game in the PS store. The PS button also flashes when a live area has been updated.

To be honest, there's probably 6 or 7 games I'd like from this launch. What a wealth of gaming goodness (assuming you've not played the original's of some of the ports).

Only decided on Wipeout so far, but tempted to budget for another. Not sure weather to go for FIFA, Hot Shots Golf or UMvC3.

You could have fooled me ... the Western launch line-up is so dazzling, that for a moment I thought it launches with 100 games.

Seriously though, what is it, around 30 games out around launch, and about 20 more announced for the year? And even iOS games worthy of porting these days are likely to support trophies (were already supporting GameCenter or any of those other services), I'm willing to bet it won't even take two years before you could have 100 games on your trophy-list (most people obviously won't, ever, though).

Yeah, wouldn't ind a Gravity Rush poster. Has a little bit of a Beyond Good & Evil vibe to it.
