another one for skyrim, highlighting one of the coolest small moments during my experience with it.. could tear the edges after you print for added awesomeness.

I tried to make something similar to it and this is my result. Theres a small difference in the front picture, couldn't align it as the one you've linked.

That is pretty perfect. Thank you so much. Now I just need to experiment with printing some of these off.

The Dark Souls cover I made (but didn't post because you guys don't like the XBL logo) has the same front but a different art on the back.

I love a lot of your work man so posting it would be very appreciated. Don't mind the elitists.

In anticipation of the EU release of Last Story I've made a couple covers. One is a replication of the Japanese Special Edition, and the other two are concept art from the game. If anyone wants logoless versions or other adjustments just give a holler! :)

The minimal PS2 template I have here is too small. It needs to be formatted to the same resolution as the 360 template. I'm having to make a new one based on the normal PS2 template.

Edit: Can anyone tell me what 3D template they're using for the PS2 covers? The standard DVD size one I've been using isn't working.

I made these covers many many months ago, but can just now finally post. They're nothing special, but they're better than nothing!

well done Kid! I like the first one, Bison really brings the whole thing together. Too many SF and MVC covers are two separate artworks with different art styles on each side. Needs the title on the spine though, so you can tell what it is when its on the shelf.

deadpool is a nice touch too, well done

Thanks! I did one with the title on the cover, but wasn't really feeling it the way I did it so I guess I figured anyone who wanted it could just add the title themselves. I tried to upload it but it was sitting at "verifying" for about two minutes so I gave up on that until someone wanted it...

Hey guys, I must admit I joined NeoGaf purely because of this thread. I won't ask for any particular ones (yet), but I've been wanting someone to try and explain to me any tricks to making some.

Be warned, my photoshop skills are lackluster and... after a quick look I don't even have it right now.

This is great. I'm going to try printing it on thick map paper. I'll post how it looks.

!!!!! yes please do, I'd love to see what it looks like. If you are really feeling ambitious, i can PM you the wax seal to print separately on different paper or something. haha idk

Why is this happening when I try and make a fancy 3D picture to display my cover? I'm following the provided instructions to the letter.

Have you flattened your artwork before running the script?

I had trouble running the script at first too, but found it worked better for me to do the file-saving and location steps, and then running the script through Photoshop (File > Scripts > Browse...) When I double-click the script as listed in the instructions, my computer tries to open it with After Effects, derp.

i havnt had to flatten any my images, but for the PS3 one, ive had to go back and crop my images to the exact size of the cover, even if there is empty space, the script thinks its part of the image...

I'm currently trying to create PS2 style front/back covers for some of my old favorite PSONE games. Namely Spider-Man 1 & 2 in one double CD box, Dino Crisis 2, WCW Mayhem, Resident Evil 2, Resident 3. Sick of having those massive boxes on my shelf next to regular DVD boxes.

Thanks.
I decided for Spider-Man 1 & 2 that I was fed-up trying to remember which enemies were in which one, so I listed them underneath the official box-art on the back. Also going to include some pictures from each game, in boxes like the old SEGA MegaDrive used to have. I'm hoping when I'm done with the back it will look quite good.

Here's what I have so far:

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Anybody have a UK version of the US/JP limited edition boxart for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS3?

I'm not sure on this but I think it may be due to the fact that the cover isn't properly sized. The readme tells you the exact dimensions it must be for the script to work.

Strange. The only the other thing I can think of is to line up the top left corner of the cover with the top left corner of the template (kinda make sure the cover isn't being "cut-off" if that makes sense).

are you using the script launched from windows explorer or the action command from within Photoshop. I had some issues when i was messing with actions, but the script works great. From the screenshot it looks like you might be using the older one. Here is the version 2 hotness just pasted from the OP

That seems to have done the trick, though the reflection at the bottom isn't faded.

Those are great!! I love them!! Reminds me of cover art works my teacher once told us to do.

One question: Does anyone here actually uses those covers instead of the original ones?

Lots of people here do, and they've posted pictures showing it. I've recently printed a few and it looks ridiculously better than having the original cover.

I just replaced a handful of mine, and they look so much better. I just did what was suggested in the the thread I took them to Office Max and had them print on glossy it was about $.75 or so apiece totally worth it.

Now I check this thread all the time to see if any new ones for games I haven't replaced yet have been posted. Keep up the brilliant work GAF

I love this AC one my favorite I've seen so far, I love the subtle Altair on the back to great touch. Also I would love to see a full set of AC covers done up with this style.

anyway we could either get the image sans xbox stuff or you could do a ps3 version?

Keep up the awesomeness ^^
