Honestly it was hard, I couldn't even speak to Del Rio even though he was super polite and shook my hand when I was introduced to him and before he left the bar. Ricardo was already kinda telling stories when we got there. Del Rio is injured so he didn't even go to Raw, he was at the bar the whole time with my friend and his brother, so when we got there Del Rio was asking us how the show was etc etc.
So yeah Ricardo was already in the midst of his stories and they had been there drinking for quite a while so everyone was laughing and having a good time. When Ricardo would talk about certain things like FCW and what not we would comment on it or add to it so he knew we knew stuff but yeah it was so hard not to mark out. I was in disbelief the whole time.

Taker/HHH/HBK/Jericho all back on there now and they're doing absolutely nothing for ratings. HBK is advertised for the next 3-4 Raw's at least and Rock is there in two weeks. If ratings don't spike some they're in trouble come April when most of these guys go away again.

Yep, Raw ratings are bad. They are supposed to see a jump in ratings due to the end of football season and this rating shows that any fans that tuned back in after football ended last week are gone again and moved onto other things. This is supposed to be their hottest time period too, leading to Mania. Smackdown ratings are at some of the highest they've been at with Daniel Bryan as champ, so there is a disconnect somewhere. If this trend continues, next football season Raw will be doing 2.5s.

Personally, I hope WWE announces they signed Russo as a writer soon. I want crash tv back. I want it to be like it used to be in the day where you never knew what would happen when you tuned in. Now you can miss 6 months of this shit and not miss anything. Like last year the only 2 worthwhile things that happened were the Punk promo and title win and Rock's return promo. It needs to be exciting again.
By far I think the biggest issue with Raw is that it's become an overproduced soap opera that feels like a scripted show. Wins/Losses don't really feel like they matter anymore on the show when really that should be the main focus of the show above everything else. Back in the old days it was a TV show but it honestly felt more like a broadcast of a real-life event where guys had legitimate feuds and wanted to become a champion.
Smackdown has a lot a more wrestling and not much of the BS other than Natayla farting, Hornswoggle, and Teddy Long/Aksana. People usually enjoy the broadcasts because the competition there still seems to matter (see Orton/Barrett, Henry/Show/Bryan) and it shows because they're doing decent ratings week in and week out.

February 23rd IMPACT Episode
-Bobby Roode comes out for a promo. He talks up last week's beatdown of Sting and says that Sting has quit. Roode puts over ending Sting's career as a lifetime achievement.
-Samoa Joe and Magnus defeated Matt Morgan and Crimson after Crimson accidentally hit Morgan leading to Joe and Magnus hitting their finisher. Crimson walked out on Morgan afterwards.
-Zema Ion defeated Alex Shelley after using hair spray and hitting his finisher. Austin Aries was ringside watching and eating popcorn.
-Gail Kim defeated ODB with the Eat Defeat. Madison Rayne was ringside during the match and tried to celebrate with Kim afterwards.
-AJ Styles defeated Robbie E in a TV Title match by DQ. AJ was about to hit one of his flying moves when Kazarian and Christopher Daniels came out. Kazarian put his hands on AJ which resulted in him winning by DQ but not winning the title.
-Sting comes out preparing to retire. He is acting all sad when Bobby Roode interrupts. Roode said he had to be here for that and trash talks to Sting. Sting gets all pumped up, starts putting on his facepaint and said that Roode lit a fire under him and that at Victory Road they would fight. Roode went to cheap shot Sting but Sting saw it coming and hit Roode with a low blow of his own.
