I come from Socom being my first online experience so I am a HUGE fan of lobbies, and can't understand why games feel matchmaking is better.

But wow that is an impressive lobby system there, so glad I settled on HSG for $30 on Amazon. Kept going back and forth between this and Wipeout.

Lobbies are a winner everytime!

Is a map supposed to show on Near for the background? All I get is gridlines. I've only used it from home via wifi though so maybe once I'm out and about with 3G it'll bring down some maps?...

Only grid lines probably for privacy concerns.

Google Maps is used to define your private zones (up to 5 of them)

Stupid question, I haven't tested yet and my friend at work wants to see this thing. I think the battery's pretty much done though. Can you charge via USB while playing or is it like fucking PSP Go where you have to be in USB mode to charge?

I know you can map the right stick for different functions, but is it at all possible to map it to be one of shoulder buttons? I haven't been able to find that option yet (the shoulder button part). It would be incredibly helpful for Valkyria Chronicles II.

I had that from the lumines thread, so tried today after waiting overnight - same - there was one guys username that was doing it, eventually I skipped past the guy and it let me put the rest in

I'm getting Lumines with my Amazon bundle, if I were to add one more game should I go for Wipeout or Everybody's Golf? I have Wipeout HD on the PS3, do not have any PS3 versions of Everybody's Golf.

If I press it just lightly enough to make the L button click down, it won't register. I have to use a little bit more pressure to get it to register. It's annoying because sometimes I'll be holding down the L button and it will stop registering if I'm not using enough pressure.

Yes, just checked it. Same here. If you press the L button on the side closer to the right end of the button you sometime get it. But if you press at the end that is close to the left edge then no problem. Hence, subconsciously, I was always using that part of the button.

So I'm way behind but how does the PSVita handled games installed from other regions? Say you login to your EU PSN account and download some vita games then install them to the card. When you switch to your US account does the system restore wipe the memory card? Or does it just change the region and you can play your EU vita games on your US account?

The system does not wipe the memory card, but all content from other region i.e. downloaded using other PSN account cannot be used. Also, the only way to switch accounts is to do a factory reset of your Vita.

You didn't know about Google Docs before? Yeah, you can select who can edit the document, then everyone has access to it using link. Pretty nice, I'm using this to learn Chinese over the Internet after they shut down Google Wave.

It seems to charge without it yes. And while in stand by. The only time it doesn't charge is when everything is going like cameras, music, etc. It's obviously being drained too fast for the USB to keep up. AC is obviously AC

Everyone has their opinion, but I'm glad the Vita has DD. It's one of the main reasons I'm getting it. I prefer convenience, even if it comes at a higher cost.

It's early launch + 1 and I am not experiencing any buyer's remorse. I really want this device to do well because it's a very impressive piece of gear and I want studios and publishers to invest in developing for it. I don't care about system wars bullshit or whatever.

During the game functionality is amazing. While playing the game you can just press ps and back to home page. Then if you want to go back to the game just click the icon and its right where you left off, and not the last check point. Amazing. This is so much better than PS3.

I took about 1/2" off the official Sony one with a sliding paper cutter I had. Fits perfectly.
