Hey guys how much weight you think Rob Ford will lose tomorrow? He seemed pretty upset last week so I think he would have tried extra hard this past week.

Family day, feels good to be off.

As for a meetup. If it's on March 2 I'll be in Chicago so I won't be able to make it. :(

Will QA for food.
Anyone know if Pacific Mall is opened today? >__>

Pacific Mall never closes, literally they're open 365 days per year. Of course, the last couple of times we've gone, it's been more and more underwhelming. The Japanese dishware shop on the second floor in the back is gone too. :(

Hopefully that new Asian mall...king square or some shit will be better. Pacific needs a make over...no real reason to go there.

I ask because when CP24 was saying what malls were opened, they didn't mention Pacific Mall which I thought was odd. I know they're opened all the time :p

Odds are good they're open. Generally days that are required stats mean that only areas designated "tourist" would stay open (i.e. Eaton Centre).

My apartment is kinda cold this morning... so this Toronto photo of the day was taken a few summers ago (not by me):

This photo reminded me of how green Toronto and the GTA really is, for a Canadian city. The abundance of big, full deciduous "forests" scattered throughout the GTA almost makes it seem like a tropical environment in the summer with the humidity, and I love that.

When I lived in Halifax the landscapes were mostly dominated by evergreen trees which, IMO, are really ugly. I live in Edmonton now and it's very dry here and more desert-like which leads to hardly any trees at all and the ones we do have are short and spindly or evergreens.

for example, I zoomed into street view in a random area in the GTA

You won't find this much green in my city, and the trees in this picture aren't even as full as some others I've seen. I miss it :( lol

My area is really green also, good thing about living in an older neighbourhood.

Though I can't stand humidity. AT ALL.

You definitely speak the truth!

Here is a photo of where I live (The Annex)

That is pretty fucking green! Especially considering how the Annex is pretty close to the centre of the city.

You know, I've actually never have been to Pacific Mall. I'd need to take a bus, and if I wanted bootlegged merch I can get that junk closer to home.

see that's exactly what I mean! It looks like you live in a tropical rainforest... almost. I've seen some even greener parts that seriously look like a jungle and they're pretty close to down town. When I move back to Toronto hopefully I can live somewhere where it's like that.

I bought some jeans at pacific mall not long ago, was well worth it. Bargained with the dude running the store, got them at a cheaper prices and no taxes. FTW.

Canadians burned my passport
My gf goes to Pmall a lot to look at dresses, but I don't think she's ever bought any there yet. Oh well, I got a new wok and hotpot burner out of it last time.

Alright, weekend of 9/10 it is!

Let's lock down some locations! I feel that starting at a restaurant then moving to a bar/pub nearby would be ideal. You guys?

Fuzzy

I would bang a hot farmer!
I have a mortal fear of their parking lot, ergo I've never been either.
I live less than 5 minutes down the road and I've never been inside. My oldest brother has asked me to go with him a bunch of times but I always refuse. I just hate malls in general.

I say we go to Jacobs & Co. EviLore will pay.
Jacobs & Co.? How 'bout Mickey D's? On a serious note, for a bar, The Ballroom by Queen and John (Osgoode station) has $4 domestic pints and margaritas from 5-10 on Thursdays and Fridays. They also have bowling and ping pong. Oh, and last time I was there which was just a few weeks ago they had a 360 + Kinect set up!

edit: We should create an IRC channel or some chat channel where we could all talk about this.
