My wife lives on her ipad. She really wants to get on of those Ipad portfolio things that have a built in BT keyboard.

Can anyone recommend a good one?? If there even is one?

I have an Adonit Writer (link) - pretty good, nice case, better than the Brookstone and Logitech keyboards which I have also used extensively. One thing to keep in mind is that all these case sized keyboards are a good bit narrower than a real keyboard. In that sense, the Apple keyboard is better if you really need to type a lot, but then it's not a Folio anymore. If this was a regular 12" screen - which IMHO is the smallest size that still allows full-speed typing from a touch typist - it would be fine, but at this size, you can do a lot better than the touch screen, but not as well as a real full sized keyboard.

There are some clamshell type designs that you may also want to consider. Eventually, these folio keyboards are not good replacements for a real laptop (IMHO), for my personal use. I can see others use this as a general computing device, if they are not really focused on a corporate / business use mode. I am looking forward to Windows 8 tablets this Christmas as a better "Office Use" tablet or convertible device (hopefully with some designs like the Asus Transformer Prime) to replace my current traditional laptop. I will still use my iPad as a home reader / entertainment device, of course.

Ticket to Ride: Pocket just got an update to add in the 1910 expansion ($.99). Does anyone else have an issue with TTR:p claiming that you left games with randoms when going back to it after a short period of time?

Anyone have any recommendations for some good coop games? Me and a buddy want some stuff to play on lunch breaks. hes got his iPhone, and im just playing on an iPod Touch.

Jason Kidd murdered my dog in cold blood!
Fuck you SE for making FFT not only $18, but also non-universal. If I could play either on my phone or my ipad, and sync my saves between the two, I'd be in heaven. As it is, I don't know which version I would use more, so I'll probably end up with neither until a sale happens.

Haven't had that problem, but, I have lots of problems with notifications on that game.

Co-op or versus? Try Hero Academy!

Co-op.

edit: Lookin for more actiony stuff, things like Dungeon Hunter 2/3 have been good so far. and Dungeon Defenders is on the list of something we might try out soon. but maybe people know some lesser known stuff, or maybe I dont know all the well known things, haha.

So...after pimping out Fairway Solitaire (god, it's so good) to everyone, it now crashes on launch and I'm sad about it.

I bought FF Tactics. I have no self control. If they do update the battle sprites and some of the text I'd be perfect. Backgrounds are also low rez, but doesn't really matter.

Feel like I have no choice but to get that given how amazing it is and since I got the regular version for free. I did buy it on XBL in the past too at least so they're getting my money multiple times.

oh. zenonia 4 became universal.

Anyone care to take some screenshots of what it looks like? Am mildly curiosu.

Just got Pizza vs Skeleton.

Seemed odd at first but it's pretty awesome. The game is fun, has a load to do and the graphics are amazing.

Hey guys, what's the best Snake clone on the store? I got one, kind of as a joke the other day, but I like it a lot, the problem is it's too slow. The old game used to have like nine speeds, this is just a single one. Is there a good Snake clone with speeds?

I finally beat Final Fantasy Tactics today. Over a hundred hours due to me obsessively leveling up/down my characters to make them powerhouses. *SPOILER LINK The results are just so satisfying to me. One of my favorite games ever.

To my surprise when you beat the game it unlocks all the multiplayer-exclusive equipment from the PSP version as purchases in the poachers den.

Sorry to hear it's crashing on you. You totally hooked me though... I can't stop playing it. I bought the IAP without really knowing what it unlocked. But I felt I needed to give them .99 lol.

Love it!

Getting addicted to these top-down racing games. Mini Motor Racing is pretty fun. I'm looking into Reckless Racing 2. I was waiting for a sale but I may just get it today. Looks really great!

And Taito/Square Enix rarely has sales do they, only during major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving.

They also tend to do sales when a new major release is, er, released.

You might wanna check out "Death Rally" (was free before) and "Draw Race 2". The latter is more or a top-down "draw your route" racer, pretty original and fun, with weekly challenges etc.

So, a bunch of indie talent, including Adam Saltsman (Canabalt) and Paul Veer (Super Crate Box), are collaborating on an iOS game based on The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire is what film company Lionsgate calls a "teaser game" for the upcoming movie, based on the popular books. iOS indie superstar Adam Saltsman (Canabalt, Capsule) is leading a team of other indie superstars for the App Store release, including Mark Johns and Kevin Coulton (aka DOOMLASER), Paul Veer, and composer Danny Baranowsky.

It's a different world now, one in which the official tie-in video game for a major motion picture is a game for phones, designed by a tiny team of people best known for games they made without publishers. It's a game with a deliberate retro aesthetic, as you can see in the new "pixel poster" for the upcoming game (visible in full after the break). Author Suzanne Collins even chimed in with suggestions. How on earth did this all happen?

Every once in a while I go through the "paid but not on this iPad" list and marvel at the bubble gum games I've bought over the last year and will never install again.

Huh. I just finished the book today. My wife's a middle school teacher and she's heard her kids talking about so much she bought it. Obviously I can't know if the game's any good or not, but I'd definitely recommend the book. Very good.

I wish there was a way to ignore the itunes update notifications for apps I'll never put back on my ipad.

Too bad the "World Record" scores aren't actually world record scores but locally saved, preset "good scores"... damn.
