In regards your agreement with the 'real girl thoughts' section you bolded, have you considered the brain and mind were female all along, it is just the body that was not in conformity with what the brain felt? There would be no difference in that respect.
The problem people have with your post is that transwomen aren't insulting anyone, your wife and daughter didn't miraculuously work through turmoils to be born female; they just happened to be born that way..similarly to how trans are born the way they are.
I agree that you have the right to your personal preferences and aren't in control of your sexual attraction, and the people who wish to undermine this with claims of bigotry or insecurity are totally out of line.

Can someone not have different beliefs than you? Are you that offended by someone's beliefs that are different than yours? So much so that you can't even post without the risk of insulting a child? Seems a bit much if you ask me...
My criticism was directed at Dark Octave for displaying ignorance on the topics of gender and sex, and my intended implication was that he might make some faulty assumptions about how those topics relate to parenting.
That said, I'm going to assume that Dark Octave is a fine parent and that his daughter is indeed adorable.

I think the issue is here you simply cant convince people that if you take out penis and substitute it with a vagina, you're suddenly a woman. To the person in question, they might feel that way. But not to others.
Personally, in my opinion i don't think surgery, medications or makeup will change your biological blue print. If you're born a man, then you're a man. Nothing can change this in my opinion. If my mother wanted to be a man then more power to her. But i will always see her as woman

I only know one transsexual, and she had felt all out of kilter for as long as she could remember, until she accepted it and went with it.
I think everyone is morally obliged to be open and trusting with their SOs. I by no means think everything needs to come out with all the details in the first few encounters with a new, potential SO though. Until someone is your SO you owe them nothing. Once you are at a point where you might get down to rubbing uglies you need to share the goods (whatever they may be), and deal with the consequences.
This does not apply to only transsexuals. This is across the board on things that are relevant to someone planning to get intimate with you:
- Fame/infamy
- Certain occupations
- Stalkers/dangerous exes
- Diseases
- Dependents
- Changes of sex
- etc.

Again, I feel like posts like this are missing the point. If your mind was suddenly moved to a female body would that make you a woman? For TG people (please correct me if I'm wrong here) it is like the inverse of that. A woman born with body of a man, or a man born with the body of a woman. The mind is what it always was. You are not changing any 'blueprint' in terms of mind or self, just the body that got spat out along with the mind.

how would my mind move to female body? My body dictates my mind and my attitude.
My sex defines everything. I think, live and dream the way i do because i a man. If i was born a woman i would have a different set of mentality, emotions and outlook.

Yes. Outside for the obvious reasons, it is a fundamental part of their experience before the relationship came into being that should be shared. For me it's no different from disclosing previous run ins with the law or drug abuse. Regardless of my view on straight-transgender relationships (I'm not in favour , at least unless the straight party is aware) its the simple principle that if you cannot be open and honest about your past with your partner, you have no business being with them.
When one regards people who know precisely what and who they are as second-rate men or women, that flies beyond a mere difference of opinion and barrels headlong into the territory of callous (perhaps unknowing) insult. Can you conceive of why that can be deeply incendiary and disrespectful?
Oh, and you'll want to read back a page or so for a quote of one of Dark Octave's posts to get the full context on the child quip, because it isn't meant in the sense you took.
