Apples and oranges. VP looks like a living painting in high-definition. Okami gets props too, but there would be little point comparing it to RE4.

Never seen that before. I did know what a pinata was, I just did not make the connection. It's usually spelt piñata so when I saw the name of this game the first time I was even saying it wrong up until people told me what the name was referring to in this topic. Although I know you're just playing with me now Ami.

Did you watch the JUICY FRUIT commercial? DID YOU? Isn't that just awesome. That should turn into a commercial for the game because of how awesome it is.

For much subject matter, realism is just about the most boring style possible. This is why we have Looney Tunes and Calvin & Hobbes and Dr. Seuss not illustrated in realistic styles. A photorealistic VP would be very sad compared to this.

I agree it's apples and oranges when it comes to discussing the art style. Technicalwise, however, I think comparisons are valid and it's there where I think Gears of Wars is better at.

They're using the same models. They might actually be doing the whole thing in engine, but I remember hearing at least that the models are identical from show to game.

I would too, but I fear it would feature those irritating characters. If only they'd integrate your created characters into it so I'd never have to hear that Surfer Bear's voice EVER AGAIN.
