I understand that, but my point still stands. Uncharted is noticeably lower res regardless if I'm playing it or looking at a screenshot. The pics are not entirely inaccurate.

This right here. There are a TON of jaggies on the OLED screen in that game. It's impressive technically because of how much is going on but no way is it the best-looking Vita game right now.

It's not even close.

Not sure what happened, but for an hour or so the direct screenshots that I took from Blazblue and used as my Vita wallpaper were completely uncompressed. Then after a bit all the compression showed up on the wallpaper... Did I use too many wallpapers or something?

How does remote play work with the vita? is it anything goes or are there select games? too far away from my psvita/ps3 to test.

Uncharted looks amazing on the Vita screen, start to finish. I feel like the screenshot function is doing more harm than good, no wonder devs can opt out of using it.

I was really thinking about it... are we sure that screen capture function grabs images with 100% details or because of the realtime process only grabs a lower resolution screen?

Screeens seems so different from what we play...

I've really only played RPG's (especially turn based/strategy) on handheld systems before, so getting anything else would be kinda awkward lol, despite that, I'm still looking to see if Unit 13 and/or The Show 12 are worth it.

I already put money down on Disgaea 3, but really looking forward to FF10; I'm not sure why GS dows not have FF10 on their pre-order list yet though....

D/L the Unit 13 demo - the game really won't get any better than that as far as game mechanics are concerned. I felt the game was pretty shallow, uninspired and easy but there is content there if you enjoy the fundamental mechanics. I can't weigh in on The Show, but I think that Unit 13 is a bit over priceed for what you get.

I kind of want to play this game but I just can't bring myself to spend that amount of money on an iPhone game that was way cheaper on every other platform. It seems like they only charge so much for the game because they can and not because it's actually worth the money or because they have to to recoup the costs. :/ I'll probably pick it up used at some point in the future.

Don't do it--you'll be severely let down. The game is very linear, the loot system is very basic, and the whole experience feels very "planned" and in-organic. The "dungeon-crawling loot whore" genre is one of my favorites, and I can't stand this game (I have the identical, cheaper PS3 version) for more than 20 minutes because it's so tedious.

Save your money for something better and, in the meantime, play one of the many other gems in this genre (Sacred 2, if you're looking for something recent).

I finally linked my VITA to my PS3 last night and got it to work, however, I was in teh same room, and it did turn on my PS3. It allowed me to go through the XMB menu and go to messaging, but I was not able to launch any PSN games, I thought they were allowing you to play that contact through the VITA, no?

My Sony Alarm Clock does it. My best guess is they WOULD have done it, but that daylight savings extension Bush signed made it inconsistent and they went "screw it, they can turn it on themselves."

... Still don't see why they couldn't just make it a toggle based on location to automatically work, and update via firmware as changes occur.

Only a select few games work with Remote Play (Bionic Commando Rearmed being one of them).

The lag, however, is so bad that they're almost unplayable.

You can play PS1 games and like 2 or 3 PSN games.

Ok Vita question time!

A) Netflix... is it there yet or is there any word?
B) Twitter/Facebook apps?
C) PSP digital games are pretty much 100% safe to use?
D) Any word on PS1 Classic support (summerish?)

A), B) Netflix, Twitter, and Facebook apps are all available in the "Apps" section of the store.

You should see the stuff they did in Pangya.
Anyway I thought HSG on PSP had some real courses at some point (there was a GPS enabled version that advertised something along the lines). I'd argue that if you actually enjoy the golf-gameplay, it's worth giving it a chance, it's certainly far better then TigerWoods games.

I absolutely love Pangya.
I don't like golf at all and I have no desire to play on anything even remotely realistic.
I personally feel Pangya is a significantly better game than HSG in almost every way.

But I can still understand people who want real courses.

cuz I dont know any other golf games that have real golfers and real courses (like Augusta) etc. If you know of one please let me know.
I really wish MS would bring back Links... Links 2004 on the Xbox is the last good golf game I have played (and I've tried really hard to like TW).

I haven't played too much of HSG yet, but I do like it more than I thought I would. I would prefer more realistic courses, but from what I have played the golf part of it is pretty good.

Does anyone have any issues with the Wifi? My Wifi is erratic. My other devices are fine.

Mine sometimes just drops connection and I have to restart the Vita to get it to connect again.
And it sometimes just drops to two bars for no reason. I'm like ten feet away from the source so that shouldn't be happening. It doesn't happen with anything else.

So I think it's a problem with the (my?) Vita.

Highly advise getting Ridge Racers for PSP instead of the jew one. So much more content and it's 60fps. Gonna play that a bit now as I type this on the Vita.

Also does anyone have any bluetooth headphone recommendations? Something that will work well with the Vita? I love my rocketfish BT headphones but they have a 2 second lag on the Vita, so a new pair is in order I think

So, haven't gone to the PS3 store since I got my Vita. Noticed the "minis" section had 3 different groups. Has it been confirmed only the games with the Vita lable work? Can I grab the PAC Man or Tetris that work on PSP? Is there a list out there?

Ugh I want to buy a new game today but can't decide between HSG and The Show.

Was hoping the HSG demo yesterday would help but it only made my decision tougher :(

Was typing from the Vita at the moment. I'm on my newer computer here now.

Not the first, or likely last typo, around these parts.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Really guy?

EDIT: I guess this reflects more poorly on me than you.

Yes. I mean seriously J is right next to N. How more obvious can a typo be. Let it be guys.

Anyone have thoughts on Reality Fighters? I played the demo this morning and I kinda like it.

Also played the demos for Hustle Kings and Wipeout. I think I'm gonna buy both now. >_>

I received my 32GB memory card but have used an 8GB until now. I took a back up of it but what now? Do I deactivate the card first for my trophies, PSN account and content or what are the steps?

Just sync your trophies first before replacing cards.

You don't need to deactivate anything. Just perform a backup, then turn off the system, put the 32GB in and do a restore.

I watched The Cleveland Show on my Vita this morning while on the exercise bike. So nice. I let the Hot Shots demo download in the background, and then I played the Stardust and Lumines demos to kill some more time. I'm surprised by how easily I can play this thing while trying to ride the bike. I seriously forget I'm even exercising. I can even browse GAF while I'm going.

Got my vita yesterday. I'm impressed with the system. The only full game I have so far is Motorstorm RC, but I tried a couple of demos. Rayman in particular blew me away. Will pick it up when it comes down in price, considering it's 29.99 on practically every other system. Graphically Wipeout 2048 looked amazing with near flawless image quality. The OLED screen really helps.

Regarding the blotches; yes, I did see them but only when I had the lights off with the screen brightness set to the minimum. This was mainly only visible with a completely or near black screen. I did notice them a little when using netflix with some darker shows, even when there was "stuff" on the screen. So I guess beware if you plan on using it for a lot of movies with your lights off. Otherwise, nothing to worry about. Besides the blotches I didn't notice any other screen anomalies.

Basically I was worried I'd regret my purchase but ended up surprised by its quality. It really felt like playing on the perfect handheld. As long as this gets properly supported by publishers/developers I'm a happy camper. In the worst case scenario, at least there are a lot of PSP games out there that I can enjoy.

Thumbs up.
