I think we can all agree that Beanman was the star of the show.

This Eiyusenki eroge is ridiculous even by Japan standards.

50 Gender Bended Important Historical Figures battle it out for World Domination.

It doesn't even make sense. For some reason Marco Polo is fighting for the Mongols. Yeah he met Khan, but that doesn't mean he should be fighting for him. Plus why is he fighting anyway?

Also Jeanne D' Arc is fighting for Australia for some reason.

Billy the Kid is a representative for the U.S.A. Why lol?

Sounds kind of like Civ to be honest.

Bwahahahahah ahahahahahahaha hahahahahah HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA BWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Im going to assume that means it was really good and Teshigawara, Sakakibara, and Mochizuki all had a jolly good hilarious time and no deaths...

Hate having to wait until evenings to watch.

What other country would Billy represent?

High School DxD Episode 11

Why did the end of this feel like NTR? Man I want the next episode of this to come out.

It's actually interesting that three separate WSJ adaptations (Gintama', Bleach, and Beelzebub) are all ending in the same week. The former two will probably be back in some form or another once there's more manga material to animate. Of course, two other Jump series (Medaka Box and Kuroko no Basket) will be starting, so I guess the balance is sort of maintained.

So I finally started on Last Exile: Fam the Silver Wing.

Last Exile Fam 03

Pretty good. I got kinda worried when I saw that half the main cast was moe, especially in the first five seconds of episode 01, but the protagonist and deuteragonist manage to be shockingly capable people. They're basically moe in appearance only. What am I to expect in upcoming episodes?

For some reason Britain and Macdeonia are their own country, but the rest of Europe is under the EU.

Wow the other character the USA gets is fucking Colombus. Why? I hate you Japan, I wanted to have a deep relationship
bang
with my historical leaders too!

Wow Britain won this. They have so many characters.

Well maybe winning this is actually losing this, since really they are just getting screwed, literally.

Natsume S4 - 12

Here's me expecting this episode to delve further into Natsume's family, when this merely ended up being a setup to that premise for the next episode. :<

You know the biggest question about the new P.A works anime.

Will Nanoripe be doing the OP and ED for the series?!

Did they really need two episodes of set up?

No they really didn't, this episode was basically monster of the week, add in a child from Natsume's past calling him weird etc etc, with the topic that they hinted at last week, looking to be tackled next week for the finale.

No idea why they just didn't just do a 12 episode season.

Because the order was for 13 episodes? All the past seasons have been that length.

In exciting upcoming show news, an adaptation of the josei manga Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi has been announced for summer. It will be directed by Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile) at TYO Productions. The manga is an interpretation of the 100 Poems anthology karuta is based on. I'll be watching.

I recently got into anime and was wondering why are the DVD and Blu Rays so expensive?

1. Create some lulzy animation during TV airing
2. Fix up some of animation for DVD/BD and charge exorbitant prices since they know poor poor otaku will still buy it.
3. ???
4. PROFIT!

Licensing fees, small print runs, and dub fees when applicable. It also depends from company to company with Funimation generally being the most reasonable and Aniplex selling gilded Fabergé box sets for the 1%.

If price is a barrier to your being able to pursue the hobby, you might want to look into a Crunchyroll subscription if you're adventurous and don't mind waiting week to week for new episodes of series currently airing in Japan.

Choose your waifu

They turned Australia into a prison continent of sorts, as all the representatives were once criminalized for various reasons. I'm super excited for this game, and I tried the demo, it's definitely mechanically solid and pretty fun as well. It's sad to admit but it's one of the games I've really been looking forward to playing this year.
Also Kamehameha is mai waifu

Nisemonogatari 11

Mixed impressions. The pacing of the plot was unfocused and it felt like it was going nowhere at some points. I enjoyed the ending although I didn't like how it was resolved. It felt kind of cheaped out for some reason. The character chemistry and dialogue still are engrossing but the visuals are definitely not as creative/unique as the original. I do appreciate that Shinbo has made the show more accessible by removing all the epilepsy inducing text flashing and screens with text in general. Sure, the visual cues aren't as powerful anymore but the entire experience is mellowed for the viewer. Despite appreciating that the show is more easy on the eyes, I dislike that Nise has lost a kind of unique edge that was in Bake and is now starting to look like every other SHAFT show.

In general, Nisemonogatari > Bakemonogatari[...]

Wait, what? Your conclusion doesn't seem to follow on from your comments.

Also, it's nice that you think Shinbo had some role in the show!
First season is great slapstick comedy. All the latter seasons/OVAs are a mixture between slice-of-life and comedy so people tend to think it's boring/sucks after that. It's still ok but they're not what made the first season so good.

You are hurting jman with those words.

American. Also been on enough fighting game streams to know what Boku no Pico is.
American prices are pretty cheap. Like, really cheap. Japan charges about $75 for 2 episodes of a new show on BD, or around $300-400 for a 20+ episode boxset. Movies are about $60-80ish.

Which animes were you looking at that were expensive? Depending on which site you look at the prices can be pretty different. I usually use Amazon or Rightstuf only though.
