It really shouldn't, unless they are expecting issues and already planning more of these open beta events. This should be the final stress test on the launch servers before release. And even then the turnout this weekend is only going to be a fraction of release day because they didn't announce it early enough.

So if it does turn out as a lag/disconnect disaster we should count on a repeat next weekend.

The dl keeps failing on me. I run the client, it says: Checking for Updates but the bar doesn't fill, and then I get error BLZPTS000006, failed to download a required update. Any one else face this problem?

The client downloaded is different from the one that I've pre-downloaded from battle.net for the full game (when I try and install that one it tells me the game isn't out yet), so I'm going to assume that they co-exist and are not compatible.

Seems it's the same problem than with the Pandaria beta.

You have to delete the Agent folder. You have to be able to see the hidden files on your computer and then go to ProgramData, then Batlle.net and delete this Agent shit.
But before that be sure to close the Agent program in your task manager.

Repeat until it works. Or uninstall everything and try again.

I've been in it for a while. Just a warning: don't get your hopes up too much. You can see that the game is great, but the beta itself is laughably easy (you can only play on the easiest difficulty) and not very long.

I'm so happy! I downloaded the beta and it's graphics settings are automatically adjusted to everything in High, except shadows (medium) on my Macbook Pro! I couldn't play the game yet but I hope I can get at least 30 FPS!!!

My specs. are:

Processor - 2,2 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM - 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
GPU - AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB
OS - Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)

God if I can maintain a stable 30 FPS on big battles full of enemies I'm going to be ecstatic!!!
I played Starcraft 2 on a last year MBP and everything was set to medium, but I had trouble on big skirmishes, I should try it again on this laptop to see how it fares! It should be a good indication.

I went through the same screen without a hitch...have you checked your firewall?

I had the same problem happen to me but I was able to fix it by deleting the Battle.net folder in ProgramData. Unfortunately that fix is for Windows and I can't seem to find a solution to the Mac version.
