I'm not paying more, I already bought it. For those who didn't, they get a significantly improved product.
I'm a big fan of free DLC to existing owners, so yeah. Not to mention the lack of DRM on the GoG version. I feel like most games have DRM these days.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
So you're paying more... because they added more value?

That's some great free DLC right there. Doesn't sound very free to me.

I said this in the GOG thread a little while ago, and I'll repeat it:

All they've done is given more value to the people who have supported them.

Everyone hates that the cable companies give the best deals to newcomers, giving loyal customers absolutely nothing for being loyal. CD Projekt has completely flipped it.

Sure, it sounds silly on paper, but it's a smart idea, especially to subsidize the new content they've made.

I know it's rare to give early adopters (buyers of the Witcher 2) a good reason to jump on it early, but let's just roll with it.

anyone have problems running lucid? the game does not start up for me, it gives me a weird message: "exception access violation"

i couldn't find an answer on the steam forums, but it seems others have this problem too. anyone found a work-around?

Have you tried running it as an administrator?

If you waited this long for a Witcher 2 price drop, then you shouldn't have any problem waiting a little longer.

Anyone waiting for the Witcher 2 price to drop again on Steam should just go to a retail store and pick up a copy of the regular edition of W2 for $29.99. Found one at EB for $29.99. Used a $10 credit and paid $20. Used the code at GOG.com and grabbed all the Enhanced Edition goodies they had.

There is no reason to pay the Steam price if you can just pick up the Regular Edition on the cheap and upgrade for free.

Official or unofficial?
A quick google search only gave me ' There is no plans for a texture pack ' talk.

Official. To be clear, it's not a patch that provides new textures, but instead an in-game option that upscales and sharpens the existing assets. Some texture areas benefit more than others -- I played around with the setting at the very beginning of the game and the difference in the perceived visual quality of the Ark pods was very apparent.

I would lose FPS at a constant rate in Space Marine until I unplugged my USB controller. That somehow fixed the issue.

Unrelated, I couldn't play Geometry Wars until I uninstalled AmBX. Now it works. PC gaming™

You know with the Texture Detail turned on I was getting severe lag when going into the wasteland for about a minute where with it off I get no dips. And I can't really notice much of a difference in visuals with it on or off.

That's unfortunate. The only technical issues that seem to have cropped up for me are the very occasional return of texture pop-in and some dropped frames here and there, the latter of which I only notice because of the accompanying screen tearing (i.e. the game still "feels" like it's running at 60fps).

I never hit the slomo thing in Space Marine. Played all the way through single player.
Terrific game, imho. If you don't hit the bug it is a steal at that price. I think it sold poorly though so I dont think a patch is coming.

Yeah its not that big of a deal to me as I can still play the game with the texture detail off since I don't notice the difference. I am using the large texture cache though, I don't know if thats why I see no difference. But I can say I am not getting pop-ins. I just find it odd that I get the issue while running 2 GTX560s in SLI. I have heard RAGE doesn't like SLI though and it took some tweaking to get it to use my second card at all. Oh well, its the only game I have any issue in and I have a workaround.

Noitu Love 2 actually looks very interesting but damn why are there so many great indie releases happening right next to each other? There's no time to play them all! I think we've had something like 5 or 6 such games in the last 2 weeks alone. Even though this costs only 4$, I have a mental block from buying it until I can at least finish a few of the games I just bought :(

I played through Serious Sam 3 on serious difficulty in coop with a friend all in one sitting 2 weeks ago.

It's freaking awesome, haters be damned.
