This looks tempting.

Impulse doesn't require you to have it running in the background like GFWL, does it? I'm fine with Steamworks, but if Impulse needs to be on too it's a lot less appealing.

Steamworks games mean they activate on Steam. So, no, you don't have to have Impulse running in the background.

Thank you! I was going through the process of manually adding each game exe... You saved me an hour or two. ;)

That's good to know. I'd guess that, if your computer crashes (or Steam crashes) for any reason, and that file is open, it gets zeroed in the process, meaning you'll lose all your shortcuts.

Valve really should just send it to the cloud.

If you have an AMD 5800 series or higher GPU don't get this game, it is a single digit slideshow. Avoid like the plague don't support these bad developers. Besides the AMD problems the game is a really bad console port.

Impulse stuff not for Europe, it seems. Still have standard pricing on all of them.

Edit wait what, this was the same thread? Sorry!

Strange. Hopefully it doesn't take as long as the last time.
But at least it seems unrelated to the pw-reset that was tried on my account.

Edit: And its up again.

Just reminds us how convenient auto-save is.

Also, welcome back.

the 360 controller thing is super weird tho, the game downright crashed. I was using a USB charger too, im afraid of using the regular batteries one now since its kinda loose..

How many MBs does skyrim synch everytime I shut off the game? It takes a few minutes at around 200kB/s, at first I thought it was updating the game. It's crazy.
Also, just came out of the n-th dragon battle, clunkiest piece of software ever. Good Lord.

It lists your Steam cloud usage in the game's Steam properties (right click). Looks like it maxes out at 28mb

I believe it syncs your quicksaves and autosaves. The further along you are in the game, the bigger your save files will be. After 130 hours of playing, my files were about 12-13MB each, so if it syncs 3 of those, it's about 35-40MB.

Thanks, didn't think of that. Thanks to spindoctor too.

Looks like they increased the limit to 50MB. I wonder, is it necessary to have such huge savefiles and stuff? BTW I always delete them when they're more than 10, more or less.
No wonder the game gets clunkier and clunkier as playing hours grows. One weird thing I'm experiencing is that the game starts fine, then the fps count starts dropping the more I play. Any way I can solve this problem? Could this be related to the huge amounts of save data?

Dice

Pokémon Parentage Conspiracy Theorist
Demos for Race 07 and other racers based on its engine will not uninstall from steam. They act like they uninstall, but then they are still in my games list, white, and I can play them. Restarting Steam doesn't make them go away, not sure what else to do.

I'm fairly certain it was 50MB from the day they implemented cloud support.

As to why the save file keeps growing.. that's because it saves the state of the game every time. So the longer you play, the more changes you make in the game world and the more it has to keep track of. If you take an apple from an inn and put it in your house, the game will have to remember forever that the apple has moved to a new location. If you equip a new weapon in a dungeon and leave your old one behind, the weapon will always remain in the dungeon for the rest of your game and the save has to keep track of this. All this adds up and increases the save file size over time.
