Honestly given the amount of spoilers maybe we should have a mod nuke this thread and start over with CLEAR spoiler rules.

I was a bit cynical about that at first, but the more I think about it, the more I can grow to like it. I think the only downside is that Korra doesn't have a significantly smaller regular cast than ATLA, so it feels like some of them aren't getting enough air time (especially Bolin, who feels less like a main character and more like someone who makes a regular appearance).Yeah, someone found it on Nick's servers.
Good episode though this show is moving quite briskly and I'm not sure how I feel about it. What I liked about season 2 of the original series is how it slowly built up to the climax whereas Korra has kind of hit the ground running.
And I was one of the people who used to be very paranoid that characterization and stuff would fall by the wayside due to the reduced episode count
Nick needs to really invest in some security, or at the very least pick a pass that isn't the most obvious braindead thing they could think off.
Anyways for those who have seen the fourth episodeare the picture of adult Aang, Sokka and Toph from episode 4?
Anihawk said:yeah, it's been super impressive how much they've condensed into just three episodes so far. the absolute worst of it was the first five minutes of the first episode when you had stuff like pema telling tenzin she was pregnant and that she just wanted a nonbender for a kid. then she left the southern water tribe and it picked up tremendously.
so much could have gone wrong in a sequel to avatar. and there were a lot of different roads to take, but i think they chose the boldest direction (completely ditching pretty much everyone from the previous generation and moving the clock forward 60-70 years). the fact that they made bending work in republic city/the 1920s is amazing. everything feels like it fits like it logically would.

Amon is clever and menacing as fuck. What a perfect way they've built him so far. Better than Fire Lord for sure.
Hell I am just happy to have a series where the main villain has no problem with getting his hands dirty. Amon and the Equalists are everything I want in an enemy. The grunts are actually formidable, the main villain and his right hand man are even tougher than their grunts.
As long as Amon's plan isn't as cliche as blah blah blah world domination blah blah blah then then he will be perfect. The only thing I fear is they are going to nerf the Equalists.
Amon is rather trope savvy. I like it.
This series is shaping up to be excellent.
Yeah, I mean he obviously has ambition. I'm just not sure if that ambition goes beyond removing all benders from the world. He is almost building himself into a spiritual leader, after all, and with that comes power.
"The spirits have spoken to me..." etc
If it is one thing I am certain of it is that Amon is lying about something (if not everything) in his story. It goes without saying his plans are greater than a world without bending and his reasoning behind that is actually a strawman argument since non-benders had just as big of an effect on war as benders. His parents being killed by fire benders COULD be true but without him revealing what is behind his mask it is likely that whole story is a lie as well.
I do think his energy bending is 100% real since that is what makes him a real threat in the series but the true reveal on that will only be shown halfway through the series (if not longer).
art took a major dip in this episode. I wonder if they're going back to TLA style episodes where one episode looks bad then the next looks good and so on and so forth. It would make sense since studio MIR is composed of people from JM animation so maybe they adopted the same work ethic
