Holy shit. I'm dying here. Let's see how long it takes for someone to pressure him into apologizing.

I'll buy this but that's because I haven't bought a COD since MW2. It also depends on how well it works on pc.

FOV
dedicated servers
and good netcode are non negotiable.

This is pretty much my deciding factor aswell. Aswell as a console command.

Also bullshit killstreaks like Predator missile/C4 Cars, Ballistic knife, death streaks, no quick-scoping (i dont want quick-scoping) Are also a deciding factor for me.

I'm happy Woods is alive.

Woods>Price.

Frank Woods alive hell yeah!

I'm liking the look of the game. Definitely futuristic, but you can tell it's not very far in the future.

I was hoping it was a bit more futuristic to be honest, but I guess they gotta test the waters first.

Looks like Black Ops 2 has a Woods Jr as the main character. Also hopefully the main character talks like Mason did.

This looks fantastic.

Finally, a step in the right direction in terms of changing up the series. Riding horses and using older armor to prevent any kind of electronic interference? Fuckin'...YES PLEASE.

We'll have more Black Ops II stuff (written and a podcast thing) at 9PM Pacific. There's... more to it than the trailer lets on.

interesting...

Shame about the art and the ancient engine but this is one astonishingly refreshing Call of Duty game. I'm in.

I was genuinely expecting it to be set a few months after the original Black Ops and feature exactly the same characters, weapons and environments. Bravo Treyarch.

I reeeeeally wanna see some crazy ass guns in this. If they got like a ton of gun prototypes from actual manufacturers in the game that would be awesome.

Gotta admit, I do like the premise of old school versus new. So I actually wasn't surprised to see horses. They reminded me of the Special Ops guys we deployed when taking Afghanistan after 9/11.

I love the 7 year olds on YouTube complaining about it being "in the future"... 13 years from now. Like they can't imagine what life will be like when they're 20.

I bet this is some kind of flashback sequence. Reminds me of Rambo 3.

It looks pretty bad to me, worse than MW3 in a way. It just reminds me of an ambitious mod (that actually got completed due to being a proper game). Maybe it is because I expect the same old crap from Activision- reskinned game, few new mechanics, same old stuff.

I liked Black Ops, so I suppose well done to them for trying something different. However, I'd rather they'd set the game during the late 70s and 80s. You have the oil crisis, the Iranian Revolution, the Iranian Hostage Crisis/failed rescue, loads of third world revolutions and break downs, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (could link up to Cod4 by working with a future terrorist as a US spec op- that'd be the controversy sorted), the Falklands War, Iranian Contraband scandal, the Iranian Embassy Siege in London, the final money escalation of the Cold War under Reagan (Star Wars program for example), Chernobyl, the USSR beginning to break down and fall apart, and anything else I've forgotten. Plus all the completely 'made up' scenarios they could use.

Would have been far better.

Edit: shit, they could have even had a Rambo rip off segment at the start of the game in Media Res where you kill loads of national guard in a blood filled rage, shoot up a small town, only to be stopped by your 'Nam commander.

I'm getting a "Battleship" vibe out of this. A lot of action but no soul. I liked the original Black Ops much better to be honest. I applaud them for changing the setting a bit but like Little Old Man, I'd have preferred to have the setting as the 70's and 80's.

Also yet another ripoff of Total Recall.
