Not me but my friend played this game and was obsessed with it; I have never heard anyone else mention it before:
Had it, played it, almost beat it. The second to last level was night impossible for me back then I never managed to beat the Lord of Darkness (or whatever his name was). Thankfully, thanks to a custom savefile I managed to skip that level and see the ending. The game really fun, but sometimes really hard and brutal.Heart of Darkness - PC/PS1 (as far as i know)
I have never met anyone who has heard of it, let alone played it. It was really fucking hard for me! I never beat it. The intro was really cool. I hope someone on GAF has played it, because then I won't feel so alone.
Easily:
Played this twice 100% through and still love it more than Endless Ocean and its sequel. This is an underwater treasure diving game done right.
So yeah... an obscure fantastic game on an obscure genre.
This game is also great
Came in to post this and got it with our Packard Bell PC too, haha.
Holy shit, I remember this. I got completely stuck at one point and gave up, since there weren't any walkthroughs or anything around at the time.
Pretty certain I only played a demo of this with limited toys available, but it was fun nonetheless. How about this -
I used to play this a lot when I was younger, it was a PC game where you had to get your clockwork toys to the other side of the screen. I seem to remember that my strategy was always awful and I just spammed the toys...
I wonder how obscure it is...
Say you've played it. I bet none of you have
I will always be Customer number 1. No one else played this game but me.
And if someone did(God bless you) I know damn well they had too much sense to actually finish it. Unlike me.
To this games credit, it was one of the originators of QTE. RE4 and GoW are just posers.

People probably have played this but not many.
Lovvveeddd it on the snes.
.
I was waiting for a thread like this to say how awesome this game is. Ladies and Gentlemen, Tactilcal Ops:
Best multiplayer game ever!
Easily:
Loved the game. It may not have been very good, but the idea of your units being giant lego blocks was just really neat.
I've also never seen anyone ever mention this when discussing old point and clicks:
Oh, and Kickle Cubible, a brilliant little NES puzzler that I've never seen anyone on GAF mention.
I loved this game as a kid, it was geat. So great I considered trying to remake it for some time. Maybe I will one day.
This game is also great, but since I played it in a total vacuum I have no idea how well known this is. Doesn't come up that often, so whatever.
Megafortress is a flight simulation video game developed by Artech Digital Entertainment and released by Three-Sixty Pacific Inc in 1991. The player takes command of the fictional EB-52 Megafortress created by the military and espionage novelist Dale Brown.
The game takes place in the late 1980s and early 1990s and features three distinct sets of missions: Red Flag (USAF) training exercises at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, a fictional series of missions during the First Gulf War and a special mission which reenacts the plot of the novel Flight of the Old Dog.
I've played it, you'll have to try harder than that. ;dI feel that I'm cheating, because I don't think this game was released outside of Poland, but whatever
Into... the wonderful.
Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger
I am pretty certain that no one else played/finished this game.
Adventure Beetle Racing for N64.
this game has fucking nightmare controls as far as I can remember.
yeah! amazing art style. Always reminds me of KMFDM album covers.
Julian Gollop, folks. Although the first game was better.
People probably have played this but not many.
Lovvveeddd it on the snes.

failing that, one of the first games on the PS2: Ring of Red
An SRPG based on Mechs
That's because the visual design in ZPC and KMFDM album covers are both designed by Aidan Hughes AKA BRUTE!
KMFDM sucks!
The first game I ever owned. I remember being disappointed that it wasn't like the SNES bombermans with multiplayer, but I grew with the gameplay.
Exactly how I got the game, Christmas and with Tetris DX. Initially Bomberman was my favourite of the two, but in the long term Tetris was the better game. The Christmas I got my GBC (the first Nintendo console I owned since the NES; I grew up a Sega kid), I got this and Tetris DX. This wasn't half-bad, but the bosses were such shit. Really liked Jump Mode, though.
And it will never return because Pixar sued Nintendo over the use of unicycles. Not even mentioned in Brawl.People probably have played this but not many.
Lovvveeddd it on the snes.
I had word adventure. Loved it as a kid.
This and Great Word Adventure. Don't judge me.
That's the one with screws or something. Got it on a CD filled with shitty 3D Pacman clones.
An awful awful game, like a 3d Pacman, that has actually gotten and iOS port. If anyone out there has played this we can shed a tear together.
Into... the wonderful.
hah, nice to know, thought they were too similar to be just influences
The actual PS1 game, not some PSN release
I still have this. Could never clear it. not the best of shmups
Never heard anyone mention this game ever.
