PS Vita general advice thread, part 3 | Veni, vidi, Vita

I dont know what to tell you man. Liberation is the ONLY psp/mini that is recognized by my Vita. It's really frustrating as others are having this issue as well but there doesn't seem to be a way to remedy the situation.

I tried transferring my minis that are confirmed to work on the vita through downloading on the vita, it says game is not compatible and when transferring from ps3 the games don't show up.

I HOPE Sony releases an update that fixes this problem but they don't seem to be too concerned with some of these glaring issues.

Yeah, it's annoying. That's weird it's recognised by your Vita :(

US or EU?

I transferred it with no problem (US) from PS3 to Vita. I even got the dlc to work by first creating save data on Vita, then moving over the PSP data.

EU :( UK, specifically :p

Sony needs to fix the PSP games situation soon. I feel your pain Freewheelin. I'd like to play Motorstorm on my US Vita but can't.. Yet the EU version works just fine.

Anyone else been playing Frobisher Says? The games themselves are fun (I've never played a Warioware title, so don't use me as a barometer on this!), but the game lacks any real structure - I have no idea what I'm supposed to be aiming for.

Was quite surprised to see no trophies at all though, even if it was free.

Wait wait wait, you were able to transfer the DLC as well? Using a PC or PS3?

I'm going to have to check that out tonight!

People need to at least check out the page. For $15 you will get a copy of the Vita version. This might be the closest thing we get to Colony Wars and it is for the Vita...and PC.

Oh man, if i was a rich man I would give them the rest of the money just on the hopes that we would finally get another Colony Wars like game.
Shame Sony has left the series behind.

Has there ever been any update on the WipEout 2048 DLC with all the HD tracks? Swear I've not heard anything about it since launch.

Scratch the DLC. It's coming up as corrupted data.
What I did was copy the dlc file to the Vita folder on the PC.
I got the game to work, but dlc is another story.

Nope. We're still waiting for a lot of promised updates...not just the additional Wipeout HD tracks, but the AR museum, and the new mode(s?), which I would assume include the much-needed Racebox mode. It seems like we haven't heard anything since just a few weeks after the US launch. I know the team has scaled back significantly since the game was finished, but it's time to push some new content out before people begin to move on.

Picked up Mortal Kombat last night and it has renewed my love for the Vita. I hadn't touched it in a couple of weeks, but I should be playing it until Resistance and Gravity Rush come out. There's so much to do in MK!

If Clash of Heroes is announced for Vita then I'll only play this game for months.

agreed, I would pay many dollars to have Clash of Heroes on Vita, but no denying that i'd love to see something new from Capy aswell, either way as long as they are doing something for Vita, it's a win imo.

I'm hoping we get a release date for SoundShapes from this event in Canada, one of my most anticipated games right now.

Anyone play Assassin's Creed Bloodlines on the Vita yet? I'm wondering if its a wothwhile purchase, and if the second analog benefits the gameplay.

If it's a new IP then I'll be ok with it.

And at least enable the PSN CoH for remote play. : /

PS Vita Crystal White Color announced

F7P0V.jpg

Sony is readying PlayStation Vita's first color variations. Crystal White is due out on June 28, to be followed on August 30 by a special Hatsune Miku variation.

The Crystal White Vita will be available in 3G/Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only versions, priced the standard ¥29,980/¥24,980. Matching Crystal White ear phones will be released on June 28 as well, priced ¥2,800.

Kill me if I missed the thread for this!

My PSP touchscreen goes haywire when plugged into the mains.

How common is this problem, is it hardware or software?

If you mean Vita (i assume you do) mine does the same. sees to fix itself after a few mins though so doesn't bother me too much. Can't be arsed to send it back.

Has anyone got the PSP Title "The Warriors" on their Vita? Just wondering if you can map the camera to the right stick?

In the PSP version you held L and moved the nub (the nub also moved when L was not pressed so it got a bit annoying), but on the home consoles it was dual stick of course, and i'd love to play it like this on the go.

You answered your own question.

The remapping works best with games that used the d-pad and face buttons for camera controls. It does nothing to improve games that used L/R unfortunately.

Retro City Rampage should be out in 2 weeks or so, and it's gonna be awesome based on videos and impressions.

Yes it looks pretty good.

Oh man, I totally forgot about the PSP port of this game... the controls were really annoying, but the game is really great. Anyone tested it on the Vita?
