PSM3: Sony has one big surprise for E3 that is not the PlayStation 4.

Won't happen as they don't have enough memory for that..

Not that I think it will happen, but I don't see how it has anything to do with not having enough memory.

If Sony were to redesign the XMB they know exactly how much memory they have to use to do it. MS has done it already multiple time with the same amount of ram, it just requires optimising what they have while adding in new features.
If anything a serious redesign of the core os system could free up more memory, the XMB was pretty damn bloated to begin with and they have continually tried to pack in more with what they already have.

The last guardian is not big enough to be considered a "HUGE SURPRISE" E3 is catering to the mainstream so it has to be something huge.

If it's a revamped PSN with a subscription fee, I may actually consider getting a PS3.

I am so confused my man, could you explain this? Why would a revamped PSN with a subscription fee make you want to get a PS3? Most people would say the exact opposite.

if it's a game, I'm thinking either GG or MM new IP. if not, maybe some service like changes to PS+, PS3 price drop, PS3slimmer, new Vita features etc.

lol popped into this thread for the first time, saw 'the' comment. Laughed at some gifs. Now time to backoutbackout.

Should have also mentioned that if they only allow Netflix for people who pay the subscription fee, you would buy 2 PS3s... you know, because not paying two subscription fees in order to access a service that is on every electronic device known to man just doesn't feel right.

Unless it's a third party game it won't be wowing. I guess it could be Santa Monica's first person shooter that they're working on, but a first party game is not shocking coming from Sony. I'm thinking it has to be third party.

Day 1, seriously. Would prefer that over VII any day of the week.

edit: even though I agree it still holds up really well (played it again about a year ago and was surprised how good it still looked) having it in HD would be sooo good.

Yea there are quite a few scenes I would love to see in modern graphics.
