Any third parties on the Sony shit list after talking nasty about the ps3 or vita?
Seems that there e3 thing is getting a developer who said something bad about Playstation product X and for them to announce that now they are developing something for it. (Valve + PS3, Irrational + Move).
Maybe someone unexpected has something for Vita.

Hmm. Judging from Patcher's comments on a recent Pre-E3 Gametrailers thing, I'm starting to think it's Agent. A huge, exclusive MMOFPS from Rockstar - complete with a Holiday 2012 release date.

My apologies them and thanks for the correction, i thought for some reason, maybe it was a dream, that IBM was using some modified Cell at that lithographic process, i think in the blade servers.
Hopefully they are working in fusing RSX and Cell in one die, besides the advantages, that would be a good time to redesign and boost the sales along a price cut. The last redesign was announced almost 3 years ago, so who knows.

I mean if you haven't picked up the PS3 by now, will a simple image makeover really motivate enough people? Maybe an even cheaper PS3 to milk its final few years in the PS4 cycle.

Sony's other divisions got in trouble because they introduced too many damn models and variations. I don't think they'd do the same with PS3. Price cut is definitely possible, a total redesign would put them in the shitter.

there is only 1 model: ps3. They'd set current slim ps3 to go on sale, maybe, to clear stock and replace it. and again, nothing but speculation.

Well as a console gets old sony has found cheaper / smaller / simpler ways to make the consoles.
With this extended generation they probably could have another redesign.
Plus if they want to get below 199 and eventually to 150 and 99 they will probably need to change the internals quite a bit. Might as well give it a different look... maybe something that would look good sitting beside a PS4.
I think there would be room for a slimmer slim thats designed as a bargain system that will be sold for the next 5 + years.
Epic has been very Anti Vita, saying it's out of place in the Western market and all that.
I think it's because their Unreal engine on vita is terrible - look at MK.

That's quite a shitload. I distinctly remember people going apeshit out of excitement when the 120gb slim was announced and Sony said they had no other plans of releasing other models. Shortly afterwards, 250gb followed by 320gb. I know it's speculation, but a price cut would be the smartest move.
I most definitely think it's going to be Vita related. The PS3 is dead in the water, the only thing they can and should do is a price cut because it's too late in the game to address the real issue, i.e. online problems.
