STEAM announcements & updates 2012 Thread - Summer sales usually last week of June

I'm assuming Watch Dogs is a 2013 title given Ubi hasn't yet slapped it with a release date.

2013 slips into 2014, we know how they operate. I know these videos are to get people hyped it worked but when you start thinking how long away these games are, even March 2013 is far away, I feel personally they don't exist until the weekend before they are released or I can actually play them.

I want more demos, alphas, betas. Hey let me pre-order Watch Dogs and give me the demo. Same goes for Dishonored, AC3, Tomb Raider....etc.

Very tempted to get QUBE, but I don't think I'll play it soon, so I reckon I should wait for an even lower sale price. Sad but true.

Dungeons of Dredmor got SteamWorkshop integration, I'm really liking this new trend of more games supporting it. If only some older games would include it (for example, terraria)

Same here. Would instantely buy for a -75%. Hope for the summer sale or later. I liked the demo but it didn't sell me quite yet.

I hope this kicks off a trend of indie games supporting workshop. Really cool of the Dredmor devs to do this. Also, the game is on sale for 70% off right now ($1.50), totally worth it.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question, but is it possible to move a PC game installed on Windows to the Steam directory so that it shows up in your Steam menu?

Yeah, "add a game" in the lower left corner, then "add a non-steam game", find the shortcut of the game you want to add, and it will be added.

Anybody know what happened with Sid Meier's Railroads?

I remember seing the game in a sale a couple of months ago and there's even a forum but for some reasons the game vanished from the store.

Edit: it's the first time I use the mobile site... This thing is awesome!

Apparently it got yanked from all the DD's.

Seems that it crashes on Vista/7, maybe that was why?

I'm confused. Why is the Midweek Madness deal Magic DotP 2012 for $9.99 when there's a pre-order deal for Magic 2013 for $9.99 as well. Is that a timing fail?

Dungeons of Dredmor modding is rather obtuse, as it's basically just modifying XML files. It's too bad they couldn't come up with a more user friendly interface, as I enjoy the game and want to see it receive good mod support.

With that said, since everything IS exposed via XML, I would hope someone would make a tool to allow for easier editing.

I was just about to post how everything about this game is hilarious, even the patch notes.

"FIXED: Removed the Mushroom Shuffler. You don't need to know what this is; just be thankful that we removed it."

"FIXED: Achievements.
ADDED: More achievements. (They're probably broken.)"

Noooo! My service pack 1!

I wish they'd give me the option to play offline without having to go online first and set it to offline mode. I sometimes forget to set it back offline when I leave home.

Someday ...

Also, Sims 3 got a nearly 1 gb update today but no patch notes on what it does.

If I stick with launching Origin entirely through Steam, I'd appreciate a grid view banner that's just a picture of a resigned looking gentleman shrugging.

Are you all able to launch BF3 and ME3 individually and still have the overlay work? it didn't work for me when I tried it a few months back.

I believe it worked for me with ME3.

...any chance someone could do one for PCSX2? I promise I'll send several hundred dollars worth of good intentions in your direction.

Here we go, it's a very slightly enlarged version of the main window background, but it shouldn't be noticeable unless you zoom your icons in like a mad man.
