DmC E3 Demo Walkthrough - Mission + Boss

It probably wasn't on easy, since they admitted that they're fine tuning the earlier difficulties in relation to the hardest difficulty.

I sure hope they have other enemy designs because the current baddies are all from the Silent Hill Reject club.

We already have this, ahm... bird?

And the... err... what the fuck is this?

We also have that big fat dude from the E3 2011 trailer that charged your way inside the cathedral.

About enemy design they said there will be a lot more enemies in the game. Sure, they could be lying, but that's all we have right now.

AI I'm not too worried because they probably have the easiest settings since it's a demo for all kinds of audiences, and even so a lot of people were dying in the boss fight and some of them didn't even finished it because it was "too hard".

About the balance I'm worried about as well, and I would also ask for a better camera, I don't think they need to keep that part of the DMC-DNA lol
That could very well be true. I hope it is. But keep in mind that this is almost the exact same thing I said about the NG3 floor demo. And the line about the demo being on the easiest settings was one of the most common responses.

Yea, DMC was my game of E3. I didn't expect it coming at all, but it feels and looks amazing with a ton of personality.

For those unbelievers, one game I was coming in with high expectations and left a little worried...was RE6. Time will tell tho.

Well, while the game may end up being too easy, I don't think they would brag about how they have a difficulty setting specially for "hardcore DMC fans" if it wasn't really hard.

The gameplay footage we saw in your video was recorded by you or it's just random footage?

If I recall correctly, NG3 also claimed to have that. Didn't really help.

Just curious, were there any developers from Ninja Theory or Capcom on hand? I'm wondering if they were getting personal feedback from the people who played the game.

It needs to be hard in the right way. They have to nail the fundamentals.

That first image. They are some kind of winged women if you look closely. I too remember that fat mini boss that looked like he had a Kingdom Hearts symbol on his stomach and wearing pirate boots.

Visually about these screens I don't like the background. It feels like stepping into a 3D 1980's game. I will guess that has to be part of the disco area and that is why it is designed like that.

I like the background, reminds me of El Shaddai, and I really enjoyed the art style there.

Also, here's the fat guy:

Finally got around to watching some of the walkthroughs and trailers. I have to say it's very edgy stuff, glowing previews everywhere. It's amazing usually previews always find faults in games and E3 demos always represent how the full games will be. Of course with the gameplay credibility of NT it's understandable.

The poison boss was fun and shes the secret ingredient to beverages we all drink. That's pretty deep right there, Shes poison and we put poison in our body. Blowing my mind with the messages man.

NT kings of originality and breathing new life in franchises.

Just as deep as the good brother and bad brother, one wearing red, the other blue. That symbolism.

I read a few more previews and they played through the Night Club stage behind closed doors. There are sections of the level where the floors while change colors to show which form you need to stay in. It all sounds really awesome.

The floor changes color to tell you what form to use? Is this a tutorial level?

No, this was during the limbo club stage. It's a specific thing for the level. The floor will change blue, meaning you have to switch or else get hurt by the floor. It was shown behind closed doors, but the pics of the stage are a few posts up.

We should be getting some new footage this week during comic-con. Don't know when the media will pop up, but there's a for the game on the Friday.

The game is shaping up quite well. Regardless of how it turns out, I'm happy to have seen them attempt it.
