We were talking about this in the other TLG thread a few days ago. It's hard to understand how different the development processes they have in place at "Team ICO". It's totally different from any (Sony) western team, and more like how the Mario and Zelda teams work.

There are many examples of development hells that succeeded in the end. Ocarina of Time for example went through quite a few phases and problems before it started to take its final form.

Indeed, Half-Life 2, Resident Evil 4, StarCraft 2, Diablo 3, FFXII (although I think that sucked personally), plenty of games.

I like it because its pretty much voicing the exact thoughts I had the very first time I saw a trailer of the game. I figure anyone who played the other Team Ico games would have the exact same response of thinking the ending of this game would probably be some soul destroyingly depressing shit
