Yes especially when I'm usually right, these negative opinions are usually wrong (e.g that stupid versus13 cancellation rumour were people showed off saying things like "of course it's cancelled you have to be stupid not to realise this" ) and it seems like they want everything to fail.

She was banned for referencing some comments made by Ueda about the protagonist of the Last Guardian. To the less-informed it could have been misconstrued as a sexist joke. Regardless, it's negated by the aforementioned comments and the fact she's a woman.

They didn't have the tm, they only applied for one.

I personally think they should've stuck with it, but it can be a drain on resources if you're paying for extensions all the time. I still wouldn't be so quick to say it's finished based on this....

Rumors are worthless. They wouldn't have any impact on their reputation long term, or even short term outside of a few pissed off gaffers.

Sony have openly lied and admitted so in the past though.

I don't think TLG is getting cancelled either way, it's Sony's vanity project, from their vanity development team, it'll most likely be the last, they'll finish it regardless of the potential development hell it's in.

The game was reviewed and re-greenlighted internally at the end of 2011, about at the time when Ueda stopped to be a full time Sony employee.
They've have committed themselves to release it (probably because it makes financial sense to do so, the game could be easily ported to other platforms in the future and keep selling for years), and other people/teams are helping the japanese guys at Team Ico.
The big decision has been already made, at this point the question is when and in which state.
