BUT NO MONSTER HUNTER? Fuck

Yeah, the more I think about this the more irritating it gets. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled for Ace Attorney fans but here we have an announcement of localization 24 hours after a magazine leak on the internet.

Then we have MH fans which have been waiting 2 years. Even if we remove the wait for P3rd we are nearing nearly a year on MH3G. A game that a) has much less actual translation than AA5 will have and b) already has a good chunk ALREADY translated thanks to MH Tri.

I am fully convinced we are Capcom's chew toy. They can afford to do it too thanks to the money they'll get from Japan MH sales anyway.

Probably the guy from UMVC3. I hope he says TAKE THAT and not TAKE THIS this time out.

They actually patched the "Take this" out during combat and replaced it with "Take that" but I believe they forgot to replace it in the sound section of the game where you can listen to all the music, sound effects and voices.

So more details in a few weeks? *-*

Simultaneous release around the globe, bundled with an AA themed 3DS XL with an extra stylus that resembles the Objection hand gesture and to make it up to fans overseas, AAI2 will come preloaded in the 3DS completely in English with an announcement of a retail version coming soon inside the bundle.

Okay good news indeed but AAI2 not being localized is rubbing me off the wrong way even more now that every other game has come over. For a story heavy game to be missing chapters is insane. It would be like if the new hobbit movie wasn't going to be released because it's not "really" essential to lord of the rings. Don't do this Capcom.

This affected sales when you released AA2 and AA3 only one year apart and then AA4 months later. AAI2's time is now, don't let it fall under the cracks or released to close to LvsAA and AA5.

Edit: and holy crap at a AA5 confirmation before the movie's release date is revealed for the west. Crazy.

It's not exactly Capcom's fault that the DS market wasn't viable for niche third-party games anymore.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.

Yes.

Either way, don't screw with us Capcom. Ace Attorney is all I care for from them these days. Especially since they burned everything else through various means.

You can snag copies of AA1 and AA3 on Amazon for a fair price (they're a bit more expensive with AA1 going for $21 and AA3 going for $41 now) compared to what you'd find somewhere else, AA2, AA4 and AAI are the real problems.
Note: I got AA1 a couple of months ago for 16 bucks and AA3 a month ago for 31 on Amazon.

British Pricing a-go-go:
AA1 can be found on Amazon.co.uk for £18.02, AA2 for £21.93 (which is the one game in the series that I have already), AA3 for £26.98, AA4 for £22.28 and AAI for £28.47. So they're all readily available if you're prepared to deal with someone who's not a big cheese, it's just that they're a bit too close to RRP. For context, 9 Hours 9 Rooms 9 Doors, a game which never got a UK release, can be bought for £18.97 (and from Videogamesplus via Amazon for £19.44, which is something I never noticed before: I can order from VGS via Amazon and they in theory won't get any of my financial details to leak. This sounds to me like A Plan).

DISCLAIMER: all prices in the above paragraph are for new and sealed copies, and so used copies will be quite a bit less. All are from third parties on Amazon, so there's probably some room for competition. (Even with the fact that I'm talking new & sealed copies, the prices are a bit high for my tastes considering the 999 price and the fact that I got an EU copy SMT Nocturne sealed for £8.50 a couple of weeks back)

Yea kinda like Xenoblade and Last Story. No it's all Capcom's fault. If they didn't plan to bring it over they shouldn't have made the game at all or created it at a time when this wouldn't be an issue. So maybe they only made the game for the Japenese market because it sells best there, HOWEVER....All they are doing is alienating their fans and telling them they don't matter. Sure it may not cost them much now, but it the long run it will hurt. Capcom goes on and on about digital releases are the future, there needs to be a shorter dev time and more sequels sooner are key for success. So here we have a prime example on why AAI2 should already be out from Capcoms own words. If Capcom is worried about profits and wasted company time this is an excellent type of thing to let a westren team work on. An already completed game with all it's assets already created and only needs to be localized. But no, Capcom has to much pride to do a thing like that.

It really stings more so than MML3. At least it never truly came to fruition. AAI2 exists and is out there and you are deemed not worthy.

Oh, both an AA5 AND it being confirmed for the west? If I have a 3DS by then that's day 1 material, even if it's a bit cheap that they may be dropping Apollo - he was all right even if the actual story lines were not.

Yeah ok, so this pretty cool but we still didn't get AAI2. AA5's announcement only softened the blow :(

Not sure what gaf's policies about fan translation projects are, but it seems like the project is progressing at a decent pace with some hacking hurdles atm to inject the stuff back in.

I don't know anything about DS homebrew, myself. Would I just need a flashcart or is a hardware mod required?
