I'm feeling really scared for that iPad 7" rumor. I still hope it's real. And that it comes in the same color choices as the iPod touch does. Damn I could use a red one. Or is it pink? Well, I guess it could be red if it's a Product Red. (I don't know the proper stylization of the name) A colored iPad 7" would be day one for me to replace my iPad 2. I like that the front is not colored too. That'd be distracting. It looks really nice with the white front and the ring of color around the edge. We'd be lucky to get iPad's in colors at all, whether it's 7" or 10", but I can dream, right?
It's the same on the UK store. It says that the iPad starts from £249 but the iPad 2 costs £329. Hmm.

So the new iPods, even the charcoal-back one, have white glass fronts? No black fronts for iPods anymore? Weird if so, since the charcoal iPod Nano has a black glass front..
Also, the home buttons on the iPod Touch's are different, the shape lining is chromified now.

I don't really keep up with dedicated mp3 players. What kind of prices are android-based mp3 players that give full access to Google Play going for? A lot less?
4S Looks better to me.
You can buy an Xperia S which will knock it out the door spec wise for £330 never mind a dedicated Media player.
Yeah the 4/4S design is still the best.

When pics leaked some time ago I thought they couldn't be real because it looked like a cheap knock-off. In the video it's a bit better than on The Verge's pictures but still a strange design decision.

the dark charcoal look isn't as bad as the plain aluminum. I still think the glass back looks better overall. But, if I had to choose, the black back looks so much better than the silver anodized aluminum, imo

LTE alone makes it a massive upgrade. I don't know how people can survive on 3G, when I am out of LTE coverage life sucks.
Other than that though this is a massive disappointment, nothing even remotely interesting or innovative.
The iPad 4 will come next Spring. The iPad mini... really should have come out before the Nexus 7. Really there is zero reason for Apple to delay the iPad mini. Steve Jobs is already you know, not running the show.

They really needed a killer app to showcase the iphone 5's speed bump, especially considering it's only a modest increase of 2x. Shame they couldn't have Epic demo something, IB1&2 really helped sell the graphical prowess of previous Iphones/Ipads.
They do have to have time to manufacture the thing.
