A bit disappointed that the camera is the same as in the 4s. That seems to be a pretty significant oversight.

I wonder if AT&T will make those of us with the unlimited data switch to something else to get LTE. :(

I think this is a conspiracy!!! HAHA...but seriously, camera makers like Canon and Sony are probably losing a huge amount of money because of cell phone cameras having replaced the need for the average consumer to own a stand alone digital camera.

Eventually, the camera's on cell phones will be almost on par with stand alone cameras and their market share will be significantly reduced.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some under the table talks and deals to slow down the progression of cell phone cameras in order to increase the gap between the two and create motivation for people to still buy cameras...

What did you expect?

SOMETHING that would make me continue to stick with Apple.

I shifted to Apple from Sony Ericsson 4 years ago because they were something different and fresh.

I'm shifting away now because they're the complete opposite to that. Since becoming the (kind of) market leader, they just play it so safe it's ridiculous. Need something different.

I cringe every time Apple is making a big deal about fucking facebook integration or panorama pictures or facetime over cellular or turn by turn.

Don't they know Android could do that 2 years ago ?

everything else is looking good, will probably buy.

Incredibly sorry if I missed this, have been in meetings through most of the announcement. Has there been any word on grandfathered AT&T data plans with regard to LTE? Are they kicking us out on the technicality?

They really needed a killer app to showcase the iphone 5's speed bump, especially considering it's only a modest increase of 2x. Shame they couldn't have Epic demo something, IB1&2 really helped sell the graphical prowess of previous Iphones/Ipads.

Aren't the graphics and CPU 2x? GPU bump could be nice considering it's not driving an iPad sized screen

Watched the iPhone 5 video. Ok, i'm sold. Apple's porn shots combined with Jony Ive's porn voice turned me.

I probably won't be getting it, but it isn't an atrocity.

If they made a 128 GB iPod Touch, I'd be on it. Why have storage capacities for PMP stayed the same despite a sharp drop in the cost of solid state storage?

For the record, I'm avoiding buying another Classic because I had constant problems with my old one. I currently have a 64 GB Zune HD (which I love) but have filled it up and will obviously will never have a chance to up the capacity.

It doesn't matter that Android did it first. All that matters is now Apple has done it so you know it's official. This is Apple marketing 101. People eat this shit up. At least now with Android's larger marketshare, less of the general public will be fooled by Apple's marketing team.

To everyone here going "sapphire crystal lol wtf": have you never purchased an analog wristwatch? A majority of them use sapphire crystals to cover the face because it's harder/more durable than glass. Also, glass sucks for light transmission (aside from specially-designed optical glass). Sapphire crystals are much better for camera lenses.

As someone with a 3-year-old, 32GB iPhone 3GS, I'm definitely upgrading to the 64GB black iPhone 5 ASAP.

sorry but as someone who has used android extensively, there is nothing remotely on the level of Facetime. Not sure why that was included.

Come on people. You're trying too hard. Like what you like. End of story.

because those of us with libraries over 64 GB and/or those of us who want to carry around over 64GB with us at all times is such a small market that it's not worth it for Apple - or anyone else - to make a new device for us. Or even a new SKU with 128 GB SSD.

I bought a used ipod classic 160 GB last week for 160 bucks and I'm glad I did.

at least Apple still sells the classic. I'm not even aware of other small portable players that have 160 GB out there.

The panorama isn't a big deal, it's out there now on some free apps and for $0.99 you can get plenty of apps (360, for example) that do a great job. It's a nice throw-in, not what I would consider a "new" feature.

The turn by turn though is nice. I realize other phones have had it and apps are out there, but for a 4-year iPhone user, having this native app is a very nice added feature.

That said, the rumors were spot on, the mockups and leaks were all right, basically there was nothing new that wasn't leaked except the new ear pods. It's as though Apple was leaking stuff out themselves to select sources. Not necessarily a bad thing, it just makes the conference a little underwhelming.

The earpods were leaked as well.

those round buttons look like shit
I hated the round apps on the Vita and I still do on the Nano.

Anyway, I'm gonna keep my iPhone 4 for another year and I'm actually happy about it. Maybe I'll buy the iPhone 5 for my father. :)

I think at this point it's impossible to manufacture on the scale that they do and still keep things secret. They haven't had a launch that wasn't seriously compromised in years.

I think it also hurts that they announce all those new iOS6 features at WWDC. So instead of being wow'ed by stuff like 3D Maps at today's presentation, the press just gets annoyed. "Yeah, already saw that - what's next?"

i just want a new iMac or Mac Pro.

All these things were nice.. but nothing really blew me away tbh.
I'm sure i will automaticly get the iphone 5 when my contract expires. But i didn't get a hardon.

I even think the ipod nano is fucking ugly now. I AM curious about the sound of those new earbuds.

Any reviews of them thingies yet?
