Launch UC4 on the ps4.

They need to take a small break and examine what made UC2 so good and why UC3 failed to live up. I agree with jett, I think they really tried too hard to make an interactive movie with 3 whereas 2 was just a damn good TPS game with a fun story mixed in and incredible visuals. I played UC2 almost nonstop to the end but I couldn't play UC3 for half an before getting bored.

Well with Golden Abyss having such a huge attatch rate i'd say it's pretty certain PS4 will launch with U4, Sony can't let an opportunity like that pass.

People loved Uncharted 2 because the third person shooting was movie-like. You're in a moving train while shooting people. You're carrying over an injured dude while shooting people. You're pinned down in a cart and have to kill enemies as they approach. You're escaping the village and there's a tank shooting at you. You're in a train and there's a helicopter shooting at you.

Uncharted 3 on the other hand went for the big arena with enemies spawning from all sides like a more traditional game. Sadly it wasn't well balanced, but it's more game-like and you in theory you had more freedom than in the mostly scripted sequences of Uncharted 2.

At this rate Sony and ND would be insane to ditch this IP next-gen. I assume with ND going to two teams, one will be, and rightfully so, locked into Uncharted 4 on the PS4, and if it's at launch, I'll wait in line for a PS4.

Uncharted 3 was built around set pieces which was a huge mistake. People write a story first, than plan set pieces. ND did it in reverse. That´s why plot wise some things did not make sense in U3. Not to mention the aiming issue.

That's incredible attach rate, is it possible? What's the LTD on Vita so far?

Wow, a launch game selling so much is very good. Well done Bend. I don't remember the last time a game at launch managed to sell more than 1.5 million.
I am making a guesstimate, since U:GA launched in February. Besides, sold means sold to retailers. There was around a quarter of a million copies sold between NPD and MC until February 2012. Euro numbers are not all known. I think we know it sold 29000k in the first week in the UK. I am pretty sure that Sony also means digital distribution as well.

The actual shooting parts were few compared to stuff like the chase sequences where you're running from the guys in suits, the hallucination part, or the part where you have to walk Drake through the desert for what seems like 20 hours. That kind of "gameplay" is approaching MGS4 levels of stupidity.

They did the same for U2

Are you sure that UC sold that much? I got the impression that UC never made it past 3.5 million. UC3 might be higher.

I didn't buy any of the DLC for U3 so I was considering getting this version when it drops to $30.

Then I remembered I still have U2 with all its DLC, so I'd be paying $30 for 4 new maps. Yeah, no.

Do you guys really like the cover? Sure, it's not horrible as the Batman cover, but I don't really like it :\

I'd even prefer the Batman cover without all those stupid logos.

Totally going to get this.

It's aright.People are just burned by the batman cover.I still have nightmares thinking about it.

This is how I expect entertainment of this ilk to be created... The game made sense to me. What are your questions?

I can't believe I traded in U2. I still have U3. Maybe I'll trade in U3 for store credit and get U2 again.

EDIT-BTW, what was the latin place in the beginning of U3 with young Drake? I want to visit that place in real life.

I was just wondering where the hell this disappeared to. I'm looking forward to rebuying the superior boxart version!

I finished Uncharted 3 for the first time yesterday and for me it's a 7/10 game at best. There's a bunch of stuff I didn't like in the game, but the way the enemy encounters play out was the worst. Lots of cheap shots, grenade spam, 1 hit kills and stupid enemy placement. Also, some enemies seemed to be invincible during some animations. This, coupled with the mediocre cover mechanics made the last third of the game a chore tbqh.

Wow. Nice box art! I loved Uncharted 3, and I'm not surprised the series has sold so well. Having Nate in PS All Stars can do nothing but help its chances.

If I didn't alrefy have UC3, I'd totally snag this GOTY edition.

He is just guessing numbers. So he could very well be wrong. Then again he could be right. They didn't break it down.

Personally I think its more along the lines of
Uncharted: 5mil
Uncharted 2: 6mil
Uncharted 3: 5mil
Uncharted GA: 1mil

Uncharted 2 and especially Uncharted 1 were very heavily bundled long after their release, so their initial sales probably aren't good indicators of how much they shipped.

And I highly doubt Uncharted 3 has already outshipped Uncharted 2. I mean it got bundled but definitely not as much as 2 did, and its npd numbers weren't that much higher than Uncharted 2.

Is the DLC worth the extra price? UC3 costs $19 right now and I'm eager to play it.

How much will the GOTY cost? $40?

Maybe it was Arkham City. I forget what scores it got, though.

That's plain impossible.

Meh. If you've played UC2, most of the DLC is UC2 maps rendered with the new lighting/shaders of UC3; there are only 4 brand-spanking-new maps. I have both and I didn't bother buying any of the UC3 DLC, since I can always just pop in UC2 and play that. If you haven't played UC2 though, it might be worth getting the GOTY edition so you can have the full multiplayer suite.

Whats with people and bringing npd everytime :)) ?

Uncharted 3 will be the best selling out of them i feel.

While it did good in NA, uncharted 3 was great in Europe, it was their in top 5 in most places till April and May.

UC at 6 millions seems low for such a great series. What is the best selling Sony franchise on PS3?

Pranay

I meant per game, not cumulative sales of a franchise.

I think UC3 will be at 6.5/7 million + and will end up selling more after Goty edition.

And i think its GT3 which sold 15 million to answer your question

Hate when they recycle old art for a new edition. Looks like a lazy made custom cover. Also they chose such a static pose.

On a brighter side, this has allowed me to get the special edition for dirt cheap at mediaworld/mediamarkt.

with the recent price drop to $20 guess maybe i'll grab this to tied me over while my 360 is in for repair.

wonder how much it is used... cant be more than 15 right?

dunno though, bought killzone 3 used and it had a disc read issue (stopped on certain cutscenes, locked up ps3 completely including lost checkpoint progress, eventually got around it by pausing then skipping cutscene before it could reach trouble spot) even though the disc looked completely flawless. kinda scared me on used.

Edit: LOL, just checked, Gamestop 19.99 new 18.99 used online. WTF? Completely pointless. Never seen such a thing before. Guess used needs time to drop to 15?
