Games you remember, names you don't

I'm remembering this game with a cat on the cover. He was pulling a sword from the stone IIRC. He may have been orange. I thought it was Legend of Kay but the box art is is not what I remember.

I have this vague memory of a game on either ps1 or PC - I think PC, where you controlled a bowling ball as you went down courses to hit pins at the end. I remember one course was styled like roman architecture. If you think of the name then please pm me too!

What console was this on?

Btw, are you sure he wasn't a fox?

Can someone help me out?

I've been trying to recall the name of a fantasy RTS that I played when I was younger. I recall there being three civs (humans, elves, undead), and each one had a hero. While being a fairly typical RTS, you were able to control your hero unit and equip them with items found randomly on the map. They also levelled up after each victory. Your hero also had a "retinue" of units that you could select to follow them around from the beginning of each battle.

I don't remember too many of the units. I explicitly recall being able to create Dragon units at buildings called "Aeries". The undead had some sort of reaper and vampire unit. The campaign involved some waifish elf girl following you around, and you could choose a "good" ending or an "evil" ending in which you ally with the undead.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I get this games soundtrack stuck in my head all the time and can't even remember its name.

While not completely their are a lot of similarities to warcraft 3.

Warlords Battlecry? It's got more than 3 races, but otherwise lines up with a lot of what you said.

There was this SNES racing game. It used the same type of graphics engine as Star Fox, and it was a 3D Racing game.

You used trucks or something and drove off-road. I swear it was called Offroad Racing, but I looked that game up and it was nothing like what I was thinking of. And I'm pretty sure it's not Super Off Road Baja.

Stunt Race FX?

Sounds like Stunt Race FX.

I think that's it! Thanks guys!

I was sure it had Off-Road in the title, but maybe I think I'm just remembering it wrong because at the time my friend was accusing my brother of stealing "Off-Road Racing," hahaha.

Sorry to bother you guys again, but I just thought of another one!

It was an NES game. It was kung-fu based and each level took place on one screen. It was a top-down game, and I remember it being two-player, and the kung-fu characters were short and fat.

It's an arcade shot em up, you are a spaceship that can collect another parts to transform into a robot, the parts are inside of capsules with a number on it (1, 2 or 3). When you are robot you can shot your fist.

Could somebody point me to a list of all relevant late 80's arcade Streets of Rage/Golden Axe/Double Dragon clones.

Trying to find one in particular that I cannot remember the name of. It's your typical modern (1980's) vigilante vs street gangs setting/story. I remember the first or second boss being on this subway train I think.

Is it Crime Fighters?

Alright, I actually remembered the name of this game some time ago and forgot it again. I'm going to write it down this time.

I never played it, but watched my cousins play it at some point. I remember so little...can't believe I actually found it at some point. And then lost it again.

1. DOS game, I believe.
2. Isometric
3. Only scene I remember was on top of a rooftop, at night, with possibly an air duct with a fan over it? Or maybe not.
4. Pretty old. mid 90s? maybe even early 90s.

Hmm... that's pretty vague. D/Generation? Syndicate?

Folks, just need the ol' brainpan joggled. A very recent indie/freeware? FPS that looks like Marathon, or a similar old school shooter. Hi-res sprites in lieu of 3D models, maze-like levels, collecting keys etc.

On PC.

I played it a few months ago, had a blast.

Never posted in here before but I've got to say I love the thread idea. I know this is one is vague but hey, might as well give it a shot!

1) I think it was a Nes/Snes game

2) It might have had Looney Tunes characters (I know I should remember if it had or not, I think I vaguely remember Bugs Bunny being in there? But again, I can't be sure. Sorry!)

3) I remember there being some sort of challenge/minigame where the screen would be split horizontally and there would be a race between you and the AI from left to right, it had pretty frantic music and I remember mashing some buttons (have no idea if this had an effect though, lol)

4) I also remember not being able to do the minigame at one point (might have run out of money?) so I think I remember collecting some Carrots or something. Which would tie in with Bugs Bunny being there, if it was indeed him.

Yeah, that's about it I think!

Ok, this is a recent PC game that came out I'm sure within the last year. I remember seeing clips of it and thinking how cool it looked, and that my current 10 - 12 years old PC probably wouldn't be able to run it. Anyway, I plan on buying a new PC soon, but now I've forgotten the name of the game -

I believe it had the name 'Moon' in its title but I could be wrong. It was a 2D side-scrolling shoot 'em up in which you controlled an astronaut. I think he had crashed on a planet and was trying find a way home. You had to traverse the planet shooting all sorts of nasties along the way, and it all looked like a lot of fun. Graphics were decent too.

I remember playing a (2005~older) 3D (first person as human?, third person as mech) PC Mech game where you start in a city-like space station, and must take a train of some sort to reach the mecha hangar, pick one of your mechs (manually, no menus) and then head out to combat. I remember the game because a friend of mine didn't know what to do, and I found out you had to press a button to open up the mecha hangar or something. Finding out the name would be great!

Use to play this in the arcade when I was a pre-teen... More than 10 years ago.

Neo Geo. Overhead view, game and setting similar to volleyball (2 players (human avatars), sand and net) but you threw a disc around. You could power up the disc throws, even bounce it around.

I remember having a ton of fun with it... may just be nostalgia.

Just a super-guilty same page bump. Really keen to check it out again.

EDIT: Found it! Retro Blazer!
