This got the biggest laugh out of me by far. It's even better since I just finished replaying Tactics a few days ago. I did not use him by the way or any other unique character for that matter.

FFT was my first strategy RPG. I remember sucking at the game pretty bad on my first time playing through the game. Even so I still remember thinking to myself "What were they thinking when they let you use this character!?". He had always on haste thanks to a special sword only one normal job class could equip. He had multiple area attacks that can stop, death sentence, silence and confuse. He could absorb health and magic points. He could break any enemy equipment. It feels as if you unknowingly did something previously in the game to unlock a secret character. It feels so so wrong
